Multi-Purpose Relays are used to control electrical circuits for components on a vehicle that have a high amperage load such as headlights, fuel pumps and cooling fans.
A malfunctioning or inoperative Multi-Purpose Relay will cause a component to not function or function intermittently.
Depending on which circuit is affected, a failed Multi-Purpose Relay could cause a no-start condition, proper vehicle operation and impaired safety systems. When diagnosing a failed Multi-Purpose Relay the corresponding fuse should be checked as well as verification that the amperage draw of the component on the circuit is within factory specs

Yes, these fit in a harley fatboy (later 2000's model). after determining that the fuel pump relay had an open coil on a crank no start condition, ordered this to replace. Needless to say, success and the Hog is alive and well. When something works as should and is a great value as the friend who was getting ready to pay 100's of dollars to get his Harley fixed got a fix for under 10 bucks and has a spare, let's say he is most appreciative of that.

Bike died. Would not start. As others have described, the dielectric grease from the factory was cacked on and looked like hardened clay. Contacts could not perform there job. Saved $280 doing this myself. Took 30 minutes.

This relay does not fit the relay board . The pins are too big & will not fin in the slot. I should have taken a closer look at the relay & pins before ording

Works perfect! Direct replacement for the 5 terminal starter relay on a Big Twin Harley! I just repaired my 2010 Dyna with this part and I know a lot of the big twin bikes use this type as a starter relay. Just match up your terminals to be sure!

Using these under my hood to power daytime running lights and these have nicely spaced connectors. You do need to review the diagram in the product description to understand the connector layout but they work as expected. Good quality product.

My A/C compressor stopped running and I determined it was caused by a bad relay. These replacement relays have one extra pin compared to my original part (H8QTB / 4F1T-14B192-AA) but they fit the socket just fine and it worked as I'd expect.Only installed it a few days ago so I can't speak to longevity or quality, but so far no complaints.
