This is the correct part for my Eheim Ecco 2236 canister filter but compared to previous impellers, this one does not rotate quite properly.The blade part is very stiff and does not move back and forth as freely as it should. I am still using it, out of neccessity but am concerned it will give out shortly....

This is the 2nd time I've bought this part for my Ecco 2236. Considering how I've heard of Eheim's reputation for quality, I'm very disappointed in their products that I've bought in the past. I've bought 3 heaters (other 2 were to replace the first) which have all stuck on and cooked my fish. And then there's this Eheim Ecco 2236 was given to me by a friend. This filter's original impeller lasted about a year and the last impeller I bought has been about 2 years. Compared to my Fluvals which I've only replaced once on one Fluval out of the 4 I have for the past 5 years. I've also had to replace the outlet nozzle on this filter as well. Too many replacements for such a prestigious brand that has not proven its worth to me.

easy to install, durable, reliable, it made the filter work like new, it's very quiet and could hardly hear it
