An additional level of control is gained when using a Tirrill Burner instead of a standard burner. Both air and gas supply can be adjusted which allows the user to control the flame height and temperature separately. Gas control is managed easily with a thumb knob on the bottom of the burner and air supply is controlled by adjusting the air ports. Suitable for use with natural gas (methane). High temperature flame. Equipped with a serrated inlet for connection to 6-8mm tubing. Highly stable octagonal base.

Burner measures 6.25" tall, and the base measures 3.25" wide.

When my Bunsen burners were removed from my classroom and replaced with broken ones, I decided to buy my own to use for labs. Ones that I take care of and clean out. These are perfect. They work as expected!

Eisco Labs Natural Gas Bunsen Burner (Tirrill) is as cheap as the price. The threads on the base are around 0.020" too small so the chimney and air port are very loose as you increase the air intake. I wanted to use this Bunsen burner for scientific glass blowing and bend but I would not recommend it. It's difficult to obtain the correct flame for boro glass tube. This Bunsne Burner would be great for elementary or secondary school aged kids but not for professional or industrial applications.

These produce huge flames. But in a chemistry lab I would like a more controlled, smaller flame, with a blue inner cone. I cannot get any blue inner cone flame with these.
