I buy alot of things for my elderly mother to help her in the kitchen. Tried numerous bottle opening devices over the years, all to see them tucked away in a drawer or cabinet. But this opener? She absolutely loves it. She got the jaws stuck, but when I showed her how easy it was, she hugged it. She's had arthritis for years, and now in her 80s, it gets alot harder to open things up, like bottles and jars. If I could give this 10 stars, I would have.

I have bottles that are incredibly difficult to open, and I am very good at getting tough bottles opened with my hands. But some bottles that I’m using lately have been pretty brutal so I decided to buy this bottle opener. It does work but you have to first wait till it has a solid grip on it and sometimes if it’s really difficult you have to help it out by pulling it the opposite way. This took some getting used to. I was just about to throw it out when I figured out how to use it. Remember, first let it get a good tight grip before helping it out. Practice makes perfect.
