I eventually got around to addressing issues with a Vox AC30 I'd purchased. These amps are very heavy; I expected to find huge power and output transformers with massive output tubes. Instead, they used these tiny EL84's - the same thing Fender puts in its Blues Jr. This makes for a very bright sound with a light bottom. The tubes have a very nice clean & well balanced sound (the Vox AC30 does not have a bias adjustment).Delivery was handled by Amazon in cooperation with USPS. Amazon has tended to run a bit slow for quite a while. They didn't get it to my post office until after 11:00AM, and USPS said it wouldn't be delivered until tomorrow. I was very surprised to see it show up in my mailbox today!! But the caveat is to add a day or two to what Amazon says their delivery will be.

Couldn't ask for a better sounding tube set. Definitely were what my anp was looking for. Having a Marshall DSL 2000 which is power hungry. They did the trick. I had to enlarge the holes but it was worth it

Just installed the EL84EH's in my Monoprice all tube amp. They sound great. Wide full sound stage. And they are brand new, no burn in. Great very clean high end. Tight bass. Mid range presence is totally there. The first EL84's I put in lasted about 2 and a half years with a lot of play. I had to go back to my Onkyo solid state receiver for a little while. I forgot how much I like (love) analog tube sound. I can tell these 4 tubes were matched! Wow! Fast shipping, very well packed. Ordered on the 27th received on the 30th. All smiles here. A little more information: Listening to Quarteto em Cy off CD recorded in analog in 1964 to 1966. 16100KHz 16 bit converted to analog with a Schiit MODI DtoA converter. Klipsch F-30 speakers.

Tubes are all good and match perfectly upon testing. Put them into my old tube stereo and they sound good so far - no new hum/buzz or interference. The tubes have not been run long enough to be fully "burned in" but they should get better, not worse.

Great tubes at a great price. Really helps as accentuate the classic rock characteristics of my Orange AD30TC. The amp even gets a little dirtier than it did before when driven.
