Works great for that bluesy tone I was after on my 5watt tube amp.

I don't know enough about power tubes to really provide in-depth analysis, but compared to the "CHINA" brand tube that came in my Vox AC4CL1, it is smoother and seems to react more favorably to the volume control. I'd probably buy another one if I needed a tube and couldn't get it locally.

I bought a matched quad from Musiciansfriend. gave my tech the matched quad 3 weeks later I get the amp(Marshall DSL401) played 2 hours and blew the tip off of tube #3. That was it now its back in the shop for collateral damage. I'm not a tech but that is how he explained it. Rate this tube as 0 stars now I have 3 out of a matched quad. It didn't sound bad but I didn't have time to really bond with the sound.
