This is the most basic screen design out there, been around for decades, but somehow “elite” screens couldn’t do it right. I got this unpackaged, prepped my hanging location and installed it and when I pulled it the thing basically just unrolled itself fully with little to no resistance. It was fully extended and I followed instructions in the manual to try to get the spring mechanism to engage, but nothing. Nearly impossible to roll it back in for returning. Also, compared to other screens I’ve had this material feels brittle and cheap. Will be going with another product from a different brand.

In pull down screens you really get what you pay for. Excellent product, and they delivered it right to my door, which is surprising because it was a bit of a hike in the snow down my hill. I like the fact that the screen is fairly rigid, which helps eliminate edge curling, my cheap screen didn't. I really didn't want a motorized one, and this was my only option in a 120"/ 16:9 screen like that. I had an elite screen once before, so pleased that they still make a good product. I use this with an Optoma 4k projector.

I got this for a home theater setup and I compared using this screen to using a plain white wall. The difference was night and day. My projector is good quality and looks great even on the wall but this screen took the image quality to another level. All the colors are so much more vivid. It was hard to install by myself so I recommend having a partner help with installation.

I fretted over whether to get a motorized return vs a manual return, and I bought a manual one. My research told me that I was getting a better screen for the money by forfeiting the motorized screen. Given that I don't use it everyday, I am happy with my choice. It is a high quality screen (for its price range) from a well known manufacturer. And it retracts automatically. What else could I want? Well maybe the wow factor of a motorized return.

There is so much wringing of hands about screens' flatness, wrinkles, and warps. This simple, beautifully constructed 110" movie screen is perfect for our hybrid studio/home theater application. I don't see any issues with warping or wrinkling. Packaging was secure and kept the screen case in perfect condition. I love the smooth screen retraction feature that prevents rapid movement. The projector image is bright and there are no perceived hot spots. I shopped carefully for mounting hardware and came up with the items linked below. Is a motorized screen preferable? Maybe for some. It's no big deal for us to pull the screen down manually and it's one less thing to break down the line. Simple. Picture Quality: I was surprised to find that the brightness and vividness of the image was just as good as my Elite fixed screen. I put one overlapping the other to compare, and if anything this drop down screen looked a little better!Curling on the edges: Yes, it absolutely does, but the curling mostly only affects the black border. It makes the screen look cheaper but you aren't going to notice when you are watching something. Is there deformation of the screen (and by extension, the image?) yes, but it is very little. I had to really look hard, and then I wondered how much of it was just my imagination.Black vs White casing: I am guessing that this was a COVID era supply issue, as all of the complaints about getting a white casing on their screen are from 2020/2021. Mine came in black, as expected.Covering a window: Works fine. I don't see a warning sticker saying "don't", either (as another reviewer stated). That said, I would recommend having blinds behind the screen; let's not be stupid about it!Ability to stop where you want it to: Not bad, as long as you don't mind an inch or so of imperfection. It obviously does not have memory.Retracting: It says in the manual to NOT just let the screen go, and to guide it back up. I find that you literally have to HELP it go back up by lifting it slightly when it starts to stick. I can live with that. The retracting is intentionally slow.Shipping concerns: ANY big roll down screen is going to require an appointment for delivery. Someone suggested that the screen's casing would bend if someone shouldered the box. No way; It comes double-boxed and well packed. It also isn't that cheap of a casing. What they didn't tell you: The specs left out the size of the black side borders, which are 1 and 3/8"s inches thick, thus making the screen (including the border) 106 and about 3/4" wide. This screen just perfectly covered my 106" wide window. I roll it up every morning and down every evening without issue.Pro Tip: When installing, take your measurements but only install one screw. Put the screen on that screw and then hold the screen up to mark for the second screw.Wall-mounting tip: If you are having trouble finding studs and you don't trust your drywall (got kids?), mount a board across the wall and then attach the screen to the board. However, if you plan to be gentle with the screen you probably won't need to bother. Mine is mounted into drywall--no studs; no backing board--and I used the included screws and mounts. It is fine.Pros: Great image and affordable. Easy to mount; I mounted it solo.Cons: Looks a little cheap when not in use, and needs to be babied when retracting. When pulling down it does not stop on a dime. This is not an expensive screen; what did you expect? I am quite happy with the product and would highly recommend to the budget-conscious.
