I'll be honest that I do not use these when I'm actually doing the embroidery, because they will not hold your fabric tight. But I make a ton of embroidered pieces and this gives me the most amount of hoops for a great price. I just display all of my work on these hoops and they were great for it.

I'm using these to frame completed projects, and they're lovely. I stitch on more modern plastic frames, so I don't know how taught it would keep the fabric during use.The screws have deep threads that hold nice and tightly.
