When I first bought Emerson, it performed great. For whatever reason, years later I bought a well-known other brand and regreted that purchase. Now I bought Emerson again and I am pleased with the decision.

Nice larger size microwave that works properly. I chose another Emerson exclusively because we have had an Emerson microwave for 20+ years!

This is a great compact microwave for the price . Only drawback doesn't have immediate second timers like 20,30 40 ect.

Panasonic no longer actually MAKES lower-grade microwaves and contracts them form China like everyone else. I am a big fan of invertors as they are the only way to continuously warm food instead of burn-wait-burn. Works just like the Panasonic and, probably, will last just as not-so-long (under two years) as I can smell overheating transformer wires every time I run it at 100%.

I liked the look and ease of cleaning of this microwave. It did not cook or reheat as fast as as a inverter should. It turned tortillas into rubber instead of heating them through. The 'food done' beep would only work sometimes. If it cooked fine I would say the beep was a glitch with this unit only. With the cooking issues it could be the model. Either way I wouldn't recommend it.
