This EMF Reader, the Electromagnetic Field Radiation Detector, is used to measure EMF fields to keep you healthy from radiation. However, the fun way to use these detectors is searching for the paranormal. My older children have always loved ghost walks and ghost tours, especially when they go on vacation. They take lots of pictures and enlarge them when they get home to look for orbs or anything unusual. It's all in fun, but they really like ghost tours. I now have this EMF Reader so they can borrow it on their next trip. A sudden spike in the EMF Reader can either indicate possible ghosts, paranormal activity, or bad wiring. This detector will really light up. I'm sure my kids will have lots of fun using this EMF detector to take with them on their next adventure.

Yes, I admit I got this for paranormal research, but also to check the EMF radiation coming off of some of my older appliances such as my microwave. It's very easy to use and to interpret as the scales for the lights are listed in mG (milliGauss). The instruction sheet is very helpful as it lists the detection range, and frequency. The reverse side of the instructions has a chart for recording the level, distance, and date of the measurements taken for pretty much all appliances and sources (nothing for ghosts).A minor dislike is that it uses a 9 volt battery, and I don't stock 9 volts except for when I'm replacing the batteries in my smoke detectors the same time I change the clock. Since Daylight Savings is coming it soon, I had to get them anyway. This is a great tool for checking the EMF level in your environment and appliances.
