Long story short. I bought a Supro Delta King 10 combo about a year ago. Stock speaker was garbage (no surprise), very dark and muffled, so I put in an Eminence 1028K, a fantastic speaker in its' own right. That made the Supro into a good usable amp, but it was still just a little bit bass-y and lacked the sparkle I was after. Recently, I built a cabinet for a different amp and wanted the 1028K for it, so I saw an opportunity to brighten up my Supro. Enter the GA10-SC59. Holy Moley! I was not not prepared for what it did to my humble little amp. I now have sparkle out the wazoo! Mids are well-behaved and the lows are firm and crisp like a piano. I can't imagine how much better it will be after break-in, but I'm looking forward to it. The Alessandro made my $500 Supro sound like a million bucks. I would think it could do miracles with a premium amp like a Princeton or a Deluxe Rverb. Too bad they don't make a 12". Worth every Penny.

Speakers went into a handwired 63 Brownface Vibroverb clone. I purchased the amp with 2 Weber alnico 10"s and the amp sounded warm, but always sounded like it had a blanket over it... I tried going the opposite direction and installed 2 Jensen ceramics. In this amp, they sounded harsh and tinny. Very unmusical. Re-installed one of the alnico Weber's along with one ceramic. Much better. Warmth of the alnico and clarity of the ceramic. I've kept it that way for a loooong time now. I recently watched a couple videos online about the old Fender Custom Vibrolux amp from the 1990''s, and I heard again the tones that made me love 2x10 amps in the first place. These amps sported the old "blue frame" alnico Eminence speakers. I had also recently become aware of the 10" Allesandro alnico speakers Eminence is making and that they seem to be spec wise, very similar to the old blue frames. I searched for reviews and although I saw all the forum posts from when they were announced at the beginning of the year, I haven't seen any actual reviews.... So... How do I like them? I think they're awesome! Compared to the Weber's, they not only have a warmth to them, but also a clarity/articulation/vibe that it didn't have with the other speakers and gives it a very musical quality. The amp always amplified my guitar, but it sounded like any other amp. I feel like these speakers are a really good match for THIS amp. I can plug straight in and am really enjoying the sweetness these speakers bring into the mix. I have realized that I was never quite satisfied with the amp because there always seemed to be something missing. With these speakers installed, I feel like the amp sounds the way it was meant to.
