I fitters this to replace the h h stock speaker in laney lc15r, & it's turned a poor amp into a great one. The difference is I can now keep a clean sound at about twice the volume, & tone is better throughout the range. Very pleased with the result, my other amp is now redundant.

Monté dans un cab fait maison en remplacement d’un HP sans marque qui faisait le taff sans plus .J’ai retrouvé des aigus cristallins et des basses bien définies .Je recommande vivement 🤘🏼

Have a Fender Frontman 25R for about 16 years mainly for home single playing. Started playing in a casual band again. Frontman was not keeping up with the bass and other guitar player. Needed a higher output amp. Didn't want to go for another amp so after reading so many reviews of players who swapped out the stock speaker for the Ragin Cajin, I thought I would give it a try.Well, it's the real deal. It's not only loud, it's deep. It can compete with 50 watt amps and is now useable for more than at home playing.

It has just less that an hour of working in my amp.Nice ample sound without distortion.I need to work more with saturation sounds…

Bought four of these to replace the old and tired CTS speakers in a '77 Traynor YRM-1SC (Canadian version of a Fender Super Reverb). The main selling features for me were higher than usual power handling, and a fat dB sensitivity rating.I use a floorboard-effects unit to play country, rock and blues, and for the country I need a lot of clean headroom. These did not disappoint! They handle bass and fat mids WAY better than the original drivers did, and are quite noticeably louder at the same volume settings. Great tone, and a decent price.Perfect..

I decided to upgrade my Fender Frontman 25R, the stock speaker seemed OK for guitar, a bit muddy, but it wouldn't take the bridge pickup on my P Bass, distortion and vibration. The Internet received wisdom is a Rajin Cajun turns the 25R into a much better amp, so I ordered one, it comes from Amazon USA, so takes a while.in the meantime cruising Ebay I came across a Fender Pro Junior iii valve amp. I tracked it for a while, the price came down, I got interested. Finally I made a silly offer which was surprisingly accepted.I collected the Junior, what a fantastic sound valves make! But then the Rajin Cajin arrived for the Frontman, guess what happened next! I tried it in both. The change in the Frontman is dramatic, the definition! You can hear each note in a chord not at all blurry. Tried the P Bass, perfect! The Internet also says the Rajin Cajun is a good upgrade for the mk iii Junior. So I had no choice, I swapped the RC to the Junior, it IS very good, but not as dramatic as the change to the Frontman, the Junior stock speaker was quite reasonable to start with while the Frontman's, I now realise, wasn't.However the RC is staying in the Junior, it's just too good to take it out. Which sadly means I've had to order ANOTHER Rajin Cajun for the Frontman. What am I gonna do with two amps? Well I've a few guitar pedals that are stereo, I've a Mimiq Doubler which is supposed to sound like two guitarists playing the same notes. I didn't think much of it previously, on a single amp I couldn't really hear it, it was more a chorus effect. However with one valve amp and one solid state it DOES sound like two guitars. Hours of endless fun with the two amp Rajin Cajun set up.Doug

I wasn't planning to upgrade, but a small child, a phillips screwdriver and those little round holes in the grate of the Cube 40GX don't go together. I chose the Ragin Cajun for no other reason than it seems to be a popular modeling amp replacement speaker. The stock Roland speaker was highly efficient--unlike what reportedly occurs with the Fender Super Champ modeling amps, the cube has no appreciable volume gain with the RC. The Roland speaker was like a PA speaker, with more bass and treble extension than the RC. But I'm not missing the earbone-shattering highs or needless thump of that speaker. The RC compensates with a more-solid, thicker and smoother tone. What could be a downside for some is that there's not as much "sparkle" or "shimmer" or "glassiness," particularly on the JC Clean channel, which emulates the Roland Jazz chorus amp. However, I like the new sound better. That's not to say the RC lacks clarity, high end or low end. The bass is solid and you can dial in some cutting highs on this amp if desired. It's just that the thin, icepick sound with the treble at 12 o'clock is gone. OD and distortion tones are richer and less fizzy sounding now as well. In summary, every sound the amp makes was improved by replacing the stock speaker with the RC.

As with many of us, I put this speaker in a first-generation Fender Super Champ XD, which I bought to play guitar through (of course) but at this point I am mainly using to amplify (don't laugh) a cello with an cheap acoustic guitar pickup stuck on the front of it. I had tried various other options including the JBL Eon that I use as a vocal monitor. It's wonderful for that, but the cello sounded like fingernails on a blackboard. The Champ (using the Acoustasonic amp model) had a better tone, but not great, and was a bit wanting in the output department. In the course of my "research", I started reading reviews of the Rajin' Cajun which indicated that it might be just the thing- for this particular application. And it is- more output, smoothed out the highs, tightened the lows and warmed up the mids. Perfect- for this; but if you need the classic Fender jangle, you might want to consider just upgrading your amp, because this speaker will attenuate that sound, at least a little. It's a darn good speaker, but it may or may not be what you need.

I bought an Acoustic G20 amplifier two weekend ago at Guitar Center. The amp was ok and good distortion or overdrive depending of the setting. But after reading many reviews from customers who has changed the speaker inside of their amplifier for Eminence model, i decide to go with this speaker. For people who don't know much about impedance like me, after reading a lots about it, i found the answer i was looking for.The speaker inside the Acoustic G20 is a 6 ohms impedance. The Eminence Ragin Cajun is a 8 ohms impedance speaker. So, the answer is this. You can go with higher impedance than the one that comes with your amplifier. I my case, it was a 6 ohms going to 8 ohms.ATTENTION: But don't go with the opposite. Ex; Going from 8 ohms impedance speaker and replace it with a 6 ohms. What I read is that the amplifier will burn with the time.About the sound with the Eminence speaker.Wow...! What a difference! Before changing the speaker from my amplifier cabinet, my wife record the sound of my Gretsch guitar playing with the original speaker. Than, after changing the speaker and playing my amplifier with the Eminence speaker install, my wife said; Wow... no need to record to hear the difference. She is not a guitar player but she could say right away that the improvement was obvious. The harmonics are clean, there is more guitar sustain in your sound and the sound is 75% better. The amplifier volume is 50% greater.Yes, go for it you will love it!Thanks to Eminence for their excellent product!Good luck!

At first I was kinda disappointed, I replaced the stock speaker in an old Peavey Backstage Plus. It did wonders for the clean channel, it has a much stronger low end and clearer highs (It made the old speaker sound like it was a megaphone), and there's no breakup at all untill the (35 watt) head itself clips . But the distortion still sounded horrible. Then, after chalking it up as a "That's what I get for putting an $80 speaker in a $50 amp." I hooked it up Fender M-80 head and this thing screams! But, while it can scream, it really does have a nice smooth sound when the gain isn't dimed. It really brings out the best of a good amp, and even the cleans are good. At its volume range, it sounded better than the 4X12 that came with the Fender M80! Granted, a single 75 watt speaker in an open backed cabinet won't compete volume wise with a sealed 4X12, but it does sound alot bigger than the original speaker. I think if I found an empty 4X10 cabinet for dirt cheap, I'd load it with these and sell the 4X12! I think if you had a decent combo amp, it would really wake it up, but in my case, it made the cleans as clear as a bell, and much louder, but made the mid-80's solid state OD sound of the Peavey more obvious...

This speaker seems to me to be essentially a 10 inch version of the Red, White and Blues 12-inch speaker (which I have also owned and liked very much). The Ragin' Cajun is rated at 75 watts, which means it can handle anything my 30 watt combos can throw at it. (I have two Cube 30s, both loaded with this speaker, which have been my main gigging amps for the past two years.)A few adjectives to describe this speaker: Loud, Clear, Smooth, Focused. It cuts through onstage without being overbearing. I noticed a significant improvement in the sound of both amps after installing this speaker. Both sound louder, clearer, and bigger. This driver is clear without being harsh. It has a sophisticated sound in the Santana/Robben Ford/Eric Johnson vein--dense without being muddy, smooth highs when overdriven, plenty of low end, nice midrange growl. This speaker really loves to bring out the sustain in your guitar; the mids are lively and resonant.Buy it--you won't be sorry.
