I bought these enamel dishes.. To avoid plastics. they don’t clean up very well. Lots of scrubbing with a plastic scrubber and they still don’t look that clean .. They’re not shiny .Seems like maybe they’re absorbing the food that I put on the plate or the tea that I put in in the cup and there’s a metal ring around them that I think is starting to show signs of rust. I don’t know they’re just maybe they were too inexpensive.

The plates and mugs are durable and well-made, perfect for camping. They're lightweight and stackable for easy storage. The only downside is the mugs don't keep your coffee warm lol

Look, at $36.99 for the set (Amazon price at time of both purchase and review) it's probably fairly close to correctly priced (given today's economic picture). But $36.99 doesn't buy you much.Everything about this set screams "flimsy." Not at all the "heavy gauge steel" the product info tells me it is. Somewhat attractive, but not so much as to grab me. I am much more partial to the Coleman cup blue.Speaking of the Coleman cup, the quality of these cups is a far from the Coleman cups I bought here on Amazon not too far back in the past for $3.99 each (on sale now at the time of this review they're going for $7.06 each). I have the same concerns with the plates.If I had them in-hand to inspect prior to purchase I wouldn't have got them. If I was interested in getting something like this AND something that lasts I would spend more to get much more in the way of quality. I just don't see these as standing up over any sort of haul. So yes, I would spend more for the - for example - Coleman set (ASIN B0009PUSPS) at $69.99 and feel much better for it. (Not only would I, I did).So, 4 stars for price, 2 stars for quality. That means...3 stars. But I would look elsewhere....

I cannot wait to try these out on our next camping trip. They seem sturdy, durable, and lightweight. They don't take up much room. The mugs are smaller than I typically use but, when camping, they are good. The plates are the size of salad plates; again, good size for me. The speckled taupe color will be good to blend in any scuffs that will probably happen. Easy to handwash when out and about, and is dishwasher safe.

These enamel coated mugs and plates are awesome. I love how they are made and they appear to be made with quality materials. They are thick and not like some other cups and plates that are like thin tin. The plates could also be used as a bowl. These aren’t super large, but they are plenty big for a meal to fit on them. The color is neutral and I like it. There aren’t any instructions in the box. I had to go to the website and see if it showed how to care and clean this set. I was going to take off one star because of no instructions, but since I like this set so well, and the care instructions were on the website, I gave these cups and plates five stars. Yes, they are dishwasher safe. There, now you don’t need to look it up.

These enamel steel plates and cups are perfect for camping or keeping at a remote cabin or just general preparedness. They are steel so they won't shatter if they get dropped. So they are durable and reliable. They are also easy to pack. The double enamel is great for providing an easy to clean surface. The best part about these is that unlike other enamel covered steel cookware, these have a steel ring around the plates edge and the cups rim. This is a great idea as this is the part most likely to come into contact and possibly chip the enamel, so the steel ring protects against that. Happy with the set and it will likely last a very long time.

I like how light weight the material is. The cups are nice and holds a good amount of coffee (or other liquids). It is easy to clean too. It is great for camping trips but I would not recommend it for primitive camping because the cups do not stack into each other. I also used this for outdoor eating at the house too. If it is dropped, no big deal, just pick it up and clean it off.

I got these to keep in my truck and to take camping. They work great for both. I really like that the edges are protected from chipping with the steel wrap. The ceramic was smooth and without flaw.The metal is heavy and well shaped. The plates and cup bottoms are flat and sit well. Great to take camping or for meals when traveling. These will get hot quick. They're not double walled or insulated, so hot coffee or hot food will transfer heat quickly.
