The motor is good for this purpose but the mounting brackets required extensive filing to fit to my Singer 99. The supplied pedal was also basically an on/off switch making slow stitching impossible.*If you're competent electrically*Cutting the supplied pedal off and spicing an original pedal in results with an adjustable sewing speed

it works well with my 1948 singer sewing machine. had to do a little re-wiring to connect the light, but I'm very happy with it.

This motor runs, but with the included foot pedal, it acted as only an on off switch. There was no speed control.Upon opening the foot pedal, it is supposed to be variable speed, but wasn’t adjusted correctly. After adjusting it now it at least has some variable speed, unfortunately even when adjusted, it has to narrow a range of speed control to be functional. It either goes to slow or way to fast, even a very slight movement of the foot pedal and its to fast.

I bought a motor from another site and the motor was trash. It smelled like burnt wires and you could see sparks within the motor. This was the total opposite. Runs smoothly and there was a smell at the very beginning of use, but it soon went away and no other problems since. I am very glad to have purchased this motor. Happy camper here.

I bought it to test an industrail machine without a table. works fine with nice speed control. Under powered for my aplication but I'm sure it would be fine for a domestic machine. For the price it is decent

Likes: Machine is usable again @ an investment of less than $30. Installation was, well, reasonable.Dislikes: Control pedal is fairly binary - it's full on or full off. Somewhat difficult to modulate slow going.Challenges: Biggest challenge was re-wiring existing worklight to work properly. Original setup had worklight switch controlling motor power, too. This setup was challenging -- there was no room for the worklight wiring between the motor and the sewing machine body & there was precious little spare wiring. A bit of cussin' and fightin' got everything back together, although the motor power is no longer controlled by the worklight switch. Not a real problem.

Pedal is an on/off switch, not a variable speed. Pretty useless for a sewing machine. Also Very thin wiring for a household electrical appliance. ALSO, If you like the smell of burning plastic, and enjoy a light dusting of electrical smoke emanating from the motor while you sew, this product is definitely right for you! I ended up buying the Dayton 2mo33 from Grainger, which turned out to be a direct replacement for the old sewing machine motor. No more problems. Save your money, don’t buy the enduro motor and pedal.

Perhaps I'm lucky, but my motor runs fine, the pedal speed control works fine, and while the quality of the plug could be better, it also works fine. No cut-outs. No wobble. No overheating. Everything is put together properly.I used the motor to build a stand-alone bobbin winder for my wife. Very simple ... a board, a winder, and the motor. It, too, works fine ... It took some tweaking. The tension disks had to be polished. The bobbin spindle had to be wedged wider. I had to adjust the positioning of the belt pulley. Finally, positioning the motor with the existing mount was awkward, though I was prepared to fabricate one, if needed. I considered reversing the motor, but decided I would rather not open it up.Pretty much par for the course with generic parts. It's a good motor for the money and was as expected.

Fit a New HOme MyExcel 23L sewing machine. The motor went out on the above. Looking at the Enduro carefully the measurements of the motor appeared to be the same so I took chance (not much of one since it was returnable) and got the Enduro motor. The new motor fit the existing bracket and I simply wired the motor to the same 115vac used for the failed motor. The motor ran clean and smooth and the existing food pedal speed controller worked perfectly.I expected some modifications and I discovered them when I got to the motor pulley. The New Home has a goged pulley that fit a split sized shaft so these were not compatible to fit the Enduro 6mm shaft. I found a hillbilly fix but not the lighthearted. All in all the motor was a great price and worked wonderfully and I saved a lot of money vs buying even a used motor for this discontinued MyExcel machine and the custom mods were expected with this old machine so high praise for the Enduro.
