Easy for mechanically inclined individuals. Fittment is proper. I have used these on several Honda's over the past 20 years. They help stiffen the shifter and give a more solid feeling shift. The only "down side" is They need to be grease with silicone grease about once a year or they will squeak and wear out faster. Thus is true with all polyurethane bushings.

Incorrect information advertised in comments, Q & A. It states that thiese bushings will fit 99-00 civic si. This bushing kir is for intehras dc2. The bushings for transmission side, towards the front of the car dont fit. I bought two sets of these bushings unfortunately and they aremt refundanle. Someone please fix all item descritions and answers, so nobody else makes the same mistake.

Arrived fast, easy install. Really tightened up the shifter. The new bushings are very tight and add a little more engine vibration to the shifter.

If you own a 5-speed honda and don't install these bushings you are silly. They provide excellent shift feel. Better than new cars I've driven.

This was the part I needed for my 89 civic dx with a d15b2. It also came with 2 packs of grease though I barely used 1! It was much easier to install this than it was to remove the original one. especially the one on the transmission.TIP: lube the center hole of the new, long bushing to make it easier to slip over the flared end of the shifter rod. stick one side over the flar then work it the rest of the way over it. The lube makes this a cinch. Make sure you lube the bushings well on all contact points to prolong life and reduce noise. The instructions don't mention this anywhere.I've got friends who say their ES shifter bushings fell apart in a year. I have a set on another EF and they've been great for 8 years now. Probably because I lubed the heck out of them.

I bought these bushings in the hope of crisper shifts, less shifter wobble, and more shifting precision. When, however, I tried to install them it took all i had to get the bushings into the end of the shifter linkage. After about 2 days I finally got it together and when it's supposed to go. the end result is indeed a slightly crisper shift with that extra precision. these bushings are worth the couple bucks for them and you will not be disappointed with the outcome.
