Not easy to get excited about white polishing compound. I don't have to buy it more than once a decade or so. So, I am 4 years early, and wanted to polish an old knife made of 440C Stainless Steel. It's a Buck General, Model 120, made in 1972. My old white bar was missing. No idea where. So this came to my door and I used it.It might have worked better than my old bar, but polishing a few tiny scratches out of an old hunting knife blade is, at best, uneventful. Not exciting but good product delivered as expected.

Perfect size and it is a white diamond grinding compound, not a white Rouge polishing compound. Had no issues in loading swayed leather strap but did use a hairdryer during application to give a generous solid lair (melted on, not flaky) then used mineral oil along with the warmth from the hair dryer too thin and smooth out nicely over leather strop with fingers while wiping off excess.

The product seems to be fine for sharpening my carving tools. Unfortunately, the bar is broken into several pieces due to inadequate packing. I am using it and it will do the job but if anyone needs it in one piece this may be a problem.

I bought this expecting it to be more fine than the green compound. I was wrong, it's a little more abrasive than the typical green so be aware of that if you buy this. That being said when I used this first and then the green compound I was able to get a much shinier and sharper edge. Under a magnifying glass it's obvious how much this compound worked, so if you're looking for a basic compound for an all around purpose, this is what I suggest.

it came wright on time/in time I had just sharpened all my knives and I had a strop without compound and as I was getting ready to strop without compound as the fedex guy knocked on the door the compound came in bubblewrap inside a tuff envelope no complaints about the compound itself over all they ship fast have a good product and I would recommend this product to my other knife buddies
