Product came double boxed and in wonderful shape. Lives up to the definition of this style of hat. Great material and super sturdy. A great, great purchase. Not just for a costume. Highly recommend.

Lacks weightiness and leather head band so the fit can be a bit shaky but it's a good looking hat for cheap.

Right out of the box, the crown of the hat is all dented up and crumpled, like it was taken from the bottom of a stack of old hats. I can attempt to reshape it myself, but it's frustrating to see how little effort goes into packing. I definitely love the hat, and it fits beautifully with my neo-victorian outfit, but I don't want to buy again if my purchase gets beat up before boxing.

Update: I have an iron that shoots pretty powerful steam. I watched a couple of YouTube videos. It took me about 45 minutes to get the hat back to 90% of new. We're keeping it. It's not perfect, and it took some work, but my husband loves the hat.My hubs dutifully measured his head before buying this hat. Good news! It fits! Delivery time was pretty long. We ordered August 25. Delivery window was from September 16 to September 23. It arrived on September 19. Fair, but if you are used to getting stuff within 7 days on your Prime Delivery Day . . . this item won't be that. The real reason for hacking off a couple of stars is because the box (and its contents) were crushed. I am going to try to steam and re-shape it tomorrow. If I am successful, I will update with how difficult it was. If I am unsuccessful, I will return and update with how difficult it was. It was a good price for what seems to be a quality hat. Hope I can return it to its former glory.

The hat itself is branded Gemvie. It is well shaped, stiff, and the sizing seems pretty good. The hat is a bit rounder than my head, so it's tight from front to back and has a bit of a gap side to side. I will probably steam it or tuck a reducer strip on the sides but I don't find it uncomfortable as it is now. It seems to be of very good quality with no obvious issues.While there are a good many reviews for these type of hats where they were stuffed into a bag and subsequently crushed, I was very happy with how this was packaged. It was double boxed and suffered zero damage in shipping.

I ordered the same hat 4 times in a one week period. The 1st hat was the wrong size. It was smaller than the size chart stated. The 2nd hat was shipped in a plastic bag. The size was right, but it was damaged in shipping, which one would expect when you ship a hat like this in a plastic bag. The 3rd hat was not the size I ordered. The 4th hat was not the size I ordered and it was damaged because it was shipped in a plastic bag. It is a nice hat. The 2nd hat, which was the right size would have been great had it been shipped in a box to protect it from being crushed. I will try to see if someone other than Amazon has a similar hat that will work for Halloween.
