This is great stuff. You have to heat both jars about 30 seconds in the microwave (or you could heat it in hot water) to make the two parts of the epoxy pliable enough to mix. The instructions tell you to mix with gloves, and believe me, do this! This stuff is sticky. It also recommends to control the stickiness, put a little bit of water on your gloves. This too is a great idea and it works.Mixing the putty is very easy and it only takes a minute or so to get to a full mix. It did not seem to release any heat like most epoxies, but this was hard to determine for sure because the putty is already worn. Once mixed it forms a strong clay like putty. I used it for two items. One was to fill some stripped screw holes. The other was to fix a edge of a piece of wood my dog gnarled. It worked well for both uses. When dried, it works like a hard wood. It was easy to sand and was paintable. Overall it's a great filler. 5 stars because it worked better than I expected.************** VINE Notice ************************Even though I have been given this product as part of a VINE review by Amazon, my reviews are honest and not influenced by receiving the product. Quite frankly, I could buy this if I wanted it, and I am doing these reviews for fun. I am a 65 year old guy and have appreciated the very clear and detailed reviews on Amazon. I started leaving my own and was selected to give these for products that I wanted to look into. But I will call a dog a dog.*************** Explanation of Rating System *************************My rating system.1 star - terrible. I wouldn't consider buying it.2 stars - marginal at best. Doesn't meet the minimum requirements or quality to be useful. Buy it at your own risk.3 stars - average. Meets the quality and requirements for a product of this type but is nothing out of the ordinary. If the price is good, I'd probably buy it.4 stars - better than average. Exceeds the typical quality of a product of this type and has a few extra features not usually found on other products of this type. I'd buy it.5 stars - exceptional - far exceeds the quality of products of this type. Hard to beat the quality and features included. Best value for the money. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.

I haven’t used this yet not having my last project completed. After readying everything I believe it’ll be great. Read and follow instructions and you’ll be happy with the results. Recommend

This small package goes a long way. The kit comes with two pairs of lightweight plastic gloves. If used very carefully the gloves might last more than one use each. The epoxy components were fairly hard making it easy to grab equal portions from each wrapped component. However, the hardness experienced at 50F makes kneading the epoxy into one red color takes a few minutes of exertion. In the photo, I was patching a large bird feeder whose bottom that had rusted out leaving large holes. The mixed epoxy was pressed into the missing metal gaps, filling the holes. The appearance is a bit sloppy, not because of the epoxy, but because I didn't spend much time on shaping the fill. After twenty-four hours, this epoxy filler was hard as a rock and stronger than the remaining metal. Could be sanded or drilled. Fully met my needs and the DIY fix exceeded my expectations.

The wood in our porch railing were degrading due to constant water exposure from the sprinklers and needed a way to preserve and protect the wood. This helped with the issue. I was able to mix it, taking it out with the spatula that was provided. I didn't have to heat it with water or microwave it and just rolled it with my gloved hands. I was able to apply it, but it did stick to the spatula preventing me from creating a smoother surface. Dipping it with water did help a bit.

It seems you can drill and screw into this product. I've only tried it on one sample with success. I'm not entirely certain how it will hold up over time securing screws that will ultimately hold my door hardware. My initial impression is that it just might work! Before I used this on my door, I wanted to see how this product would hold a new screw. In my test sample, I tried to duplicate some sloppy holes on a piece of oak. I drilled oversized holes on top of each other to fill with this product. The holes go all the way through to the other side.Following the instructions -1. I warmed the 2 parts in the microwave for 30 seconds. One part did get warmer and softer quicker. Next time I'll do a little longer so they are equally soft.2. with a 50/50 ratio you knead the 2 clay like lumps together until they are completely mixed. I had to work quickly keeping water on my fingers to give me additional working time. It's messy on your hand and I wore gloves.3. I pretty much just "smooshed" it into the holes leaving extra to sand down later. I let it set overnightBy the next day it was hard as a rock and I was ready to try some screws. Both wood and sheet metal screws hold strong. I drove them in and out a few times and they seem to be very secure in this material. There was minimal chipping, but it was mostly just excess material on the surface. This epoxy product did not fall out or fall through to the other side of the wood.I wiggled the screws aggressively and they didn’t budge at all.I’m hopeful this will be a good solution to fix the sloppy screws. This product has infinite uses, but for my application, I’m very impressed with the result.

Product arrived with loose lids and incomplete. Consequently, the material was nearly dry and unsalvageable. from appearances, it may have been a return that was put back into inventory to be sold again. It is hard to believe there was no knowledge of its poor condition when it went out for delivery. I have ben a carpenter for over thirty years and would not buy or recommend this product.
