The powerful strength of the preamplifier. And the ease of a battery change. It doesn’t need very much amplification. The equalizer works great. The only drawback is its size. It is large and it is made to fit farther up waist of the guitar side . If your guitar has a preamp lower in the waist then it doesn’t fit well. I would not recommend it for an expensive instrument. I would use a pickup that doesn’t require a hole cut into the side. But for the price it is hard to beat.

I bought this as a replacement for a Epiphone Active System. The Piezo pickup was a tad thick but,with a some sanding of the saddle turned out good. The battery compartment is what sold me on this. I am not a big fan of active electronics however, it performs very well. I would very much recommend this system.

I have purchased three of these so far if that tells you anything. Been playing for 32yrs and have put them in my 3 acoustics ovation 6 string, Washburn 6 string and Ibanez 12 string. The clarity and quality are really good and for the price you'll get your money's worth after the 1st couple of notes of playing. Hearing the performance difference from the upgrade you've just installed will have you playing longer. Installing was easy for me now for others they might see it a little more difficult. If i didnt have enough guitars already i would definitely buy this same product for future acoustic guitars and telling others what they need in their acoustics.
