At first look this is a very handsome belt: Two layers of coordinating colors of leather, substantial/thick (really thick- like 7mm or more than 1/4” thick), good craftsmanship, attractive hardware.But on closer look, the leather is obviously rippled, made more obvious when the belt is flexed. For a belt selling at more than fifty bucks I expected a more premium leather.Now about the design- the placement of the snaffle-bit hardware is such that the placement is ideal only when the belt is buckled on the middle hole. When buckled at the first hole (making the belt smaller), the remaining end of the belt covers half of the first snaffle- see third photo.Which makes it important to buy the right size, so it would be helpful to have more information on the sizing. Since some people wear belts at the hip, and others at the waist, S/M/L isn’t enough to go on. I ordered a large, and it’s way too big for me. To assist at least with the size large, the holes are at 36-3/8, 37-3/8, 38-3/8, 39-3/8, and 40-3/8.

Since jeans finally made an altitude change up toward the waistline, I've needed to replenish my belt closet, and this Equinavia Tirild Women's Leather Equestrian Horse Riding Belt with Bit Design was a really nice addition to the collection.It's slim, but not too slim to be effective and/or hold gear on your belt.The design is very streamlined, not fussy at all, and I appreciate the more tailored look.Quality of leather is very good as expected and hardware equally quality.I ordered a "Large" and ended up using it on the smallest slot. For reference, my 31x31 jeans are a little baggy, so I'm probably about a size 10 in the waist? (It's been a while since I've bought clothes to size, as I tend to wear a lot of activewear, which is a good thing!) Just know that it tends to be accurate in terms of higher-end clothing.Really impressed, and happy to have a "keeper" in the closet - this belt will last for many years and look really fantastic while keeping those jeans at a reasonable altitude.

My first thought upon opening this was, wow this feels really high quality. The leather felt thick and soft. After inspecting it a little longer I noticed some flaws. There is some sticky residue on some of the silver horse bit adornments. The end of the belt covers one of the bits when you have it buckled, which looks a bit awkward. The belt is thick. There are several layers of leather, which seems a bit odd and bulky. Buckling the belt up a couple times caused the leather to crinkle in an odd way. The metal pieces all feel good and solid. The buckle feels solid. This has some nice qualities, but I think there is room for improvement. It doesn’t feel like the same level of quality as my other nice leather belts. The horse bits give me Gucci vibes.
