This tachometer features non-corrosive hardware and a gasket sealed lens and bezel to prevent fogging. Each tachometer features the Domelux lens and is built to withstand severe conditions. Each tachometer can be calibrated to work with 4, 6, and 8 cylinder engines as well as outboards. It includes two installation options, including hardware and inductive pickup for installation on vehicles with conventional, electronic, and distributorless ignition systems.

If you look at the picture a very important piece is missing. Three pin power cord not in the package. Now I have to wait until Friday gives my customer three days to chew me out because he doesn’t have his Jeep. Looks like a nice piece but I won’t know until Friday.

Installed on a V8 but had to set it for a 16 cylinder engine for it to be close to accurate.

I had the Equus 7068 installed on a motorcycle for 12 years before it failed. Considering the brutal environment and the price, this gauge is a bargain. I installed the same gauge at the same time on another bike, and it continues to function perfectly.The description is not entirely accurate. The Equus 7068 can be programmed for engines with 1 to 12 cylinders. My bike is a twin, but each cylinder has its own coil, so to a tach, it is a 1 cylinder engine. There are few, if any other tachs that work with a single. Illumination is standard incandescent (2 bulbs) and includes red, green, and blue filters.I wired direct to the ECU tach signal, but an inductive spark plug wire clamp is included. So long as a 12 volt power supply is available, this tach will work with any engine from a Briggs & Stratton to a V12 Waukesha. However, it will not work with coil-on-plug engines unless the ECU provides a tach signal.

This gauge installed very easily and have a real good look.We installed this and other gauges into a custom cluster we built for a 1973 Dodge Dart Sport.Price was great also.

Another direct replacement for a wonky Smiths instrument. If you're installing this in a British car, the dashboard must be modified slightly to accommodate the larger body. Also, a separate ground wire is needed. Other connections are plug-and-play, and very simple, and the bright backlighting makes it easy to see at night.

This tach fit and was easily installed. Did a custom dash on my 63 C10 with all Equus black dial gauges. Only negative was that all my other gauges were normal light, light bulb illuminated, yellow compared to the now light LED. I defiantly upgraded to LED.

I bought this tach and the matching speedometer and the speedo is lit with regular indocent bulbs and the tach has built in led lights so when you turn on the dash lights you have two different gauges one with yellow ish lighting and one very white looks like crap called equus and was told o well pretty much so i would not buy again spend the money on autometer
