About this item

  • This is a threaded adapter to fit the M12 Polisher / sander. The adapter has m9x0.75 threads on one end and has an ER11 collet cavity on the other. Included is one ER11a collet nut, one each 1/8" and 1/4" collets. This adapter allows installation of any 1/4" or 1/8" shaft rotary tool accessories. I have found this very handy using a wire wheel.
  • Please read this carefully: This listing is for the threaded adapter, one collet nut, one 1/8" collet and one 1/4" collet only.
  • This does not include the M12 polisher, the grinding stone, wire wheel and Milwaukee polisher are not included and are for illustration purposes only.
  • Note that when assembling, the 1/8“ and 1/4” collets will first snap into the nut, as the nut slot is off-center, as shown in the main photo.

As others have stated, the fitment of this thing is terrible, and it will barely hold on to bit shanks and when it does they are so far out of center it is impossible to use. This actually comes down to a single flawed part which is the collet nut. It is not fully machined out and the collet hits the unmachined are first preventing the nut from going on completely and causing it to push the collet off center because it is not sitting on the beveled edge. I was going to return the entire thing for a replacement, but then I saw others have had the same issue as me so I assume I'll just get another nut that does not work correctly. Since the other parts work I will just find a new collet nut. I have tested with the collet nut off my Milwaukee die grinder and it works perfectly. In my attached photos, you can see the included nut which has the writing on it and how it leaves the collet recessed and off center, compared to the Milwaukee nut which is the shiny black with no writing in the last photo.

As many other reviews stated that it is not machined very well. I found this to be true. I ordered another set of ER11 nuts and just like that I'm in business. But to be completely honest I have found another adapter that works better than this for my Milwaukee M12 Polisher Sander. If you are looking to make the most out of your Milwaukee M12 Polisher Sander don't look anywhere else just get this SUPROJDM 5/16-24 Threaded Adapter for Milwaukee M12 Polisher Sander

Seller description is accurate it does fit Milwaukee M12 Polishers odd thread size. However, not quite what I was hoping for.1. Both Collets 1/4 & 1/8 are very tight fit into coupler and when screwed down/tighten it doesn't seat all the way. Maybe only tightens down maybe a few turns at best? The drill attachment doesn't feel secure and wants to spin on the collet. So you'll need to use a wrench on both fittings to really snug the drill attachment. This makes it some what cumbersome to take off and on?2. When collet is tighten down the attachment is not exactly centered - might not be an issue for some attachments but if needing to do a little more accurate grinding the attachment will not spin perfectly.FYI Not the fault of the design or description but was also "hoping" to attach "hex bit" drivers to this collet. Note this 1/4" collet is too small to fit these. Only round 1/4' bits or attachments will work.

I've tried two of these and they have both had a lot of runout, making using a roloc sanding or conditioning disc basically a non starter. I found it was acceptable only for super slow speed buffing and polishing with a super soft foam pad. The collets are decent enough quality, the collet nutvis also fine, the adapter itself just suffers from really poor QC and setup during second operation on the turning center to cut the mounting threads coaxial to the centerline axis of rotation.
