I bought an old/rare carving machine but it only came with a 3/16 tool holder and no one uses that size for bit shanks anymore! Luckily I found this! It fits right where the outdated bit holder does all I had to do was run a 5/16 drill bit through the mounting hole to make up for the difference between this collet chuck’s metric tolerances and my old machine’s imperial specs. Now I can use any router/rotary bit with a shank anywhere between 1/16 and 1/4 inch! It works great and runs true! The body is soft enough to drill the mounting hole larger to suit your needs! Very happy I’m able to bring a piece of history back to life!

This allows me to use ⅛ diameter cnc bits. Works very good.

It is exactly what they said it was. I sorta expected to receive a refrigerator or something, but instead I got exactly what was advertised!! Cool!

The inner diameter of the chuck I measured is 7.98mm, which fits my 7.95mm shaft motor.

purchased 8mm ID ER11 collet chuck motor shaft attachment, and the ID measured 7.6mm; too small for the promised 8mm shaft. Packaging indicated 8mm ID as well.returning, as 7.6mm clearly wont fit on an 8mm shaft.
