Comfortable and easy on the knees, but they make you sweat!

I've tried several styles of work knee pad (simple foam rubber, foam with hard cover, etc.) and this one is a good one with lots of features for a fair price.Likes:- Foam is very thick and cushiony.- Two piece articulated does two things for you: protects the top of your knees when working in tight areas such as corners, and helps to keep the knee pad actually on your knee as it is strapped above and below the knee.- Well thought out straps. Buckle and latch system should far outlast the standard velcro setup, and it is very easy to set the tension and then take on-and-off and retain your fitment setting.- Sturdy hardshell.- Rubber pad to reduce sliding around. Many hardshells have no rubber cover, so sliding on hard surfaces such as wood or tile is common. The rubber pad reduces this tendency.Things to know:- If you have "normal" size legs, this should be no problem for you, however these are not a good fit for muscular people. I'm a bicyclist as well as do a lot of DIY projects, thus I have muscular thighs and calves. I can fit the upper section on my thighs because there is just enough flex in the hardshell and give to the foam, but not something I would want to wear all day.- Again, if you have "normal" size legs, this should be no problem for you, however for me the articulation hinge point impinges on my knees. The hinge is beefy -- which is good -- but since I have thick muscles around my knees, the foam compresses enough that I feel the hinge points on the sides of my knees -- not painful, just not something I'd want to wear all day.- Rubber pad is designed for durability, so it very hard, which is good -- but also means it does not conform much to the ground so it can still slide. It does not slide as much as simple plastic, but if you are used to foam knee pads, just be aware of this.Overall: These are "better" knee pads at a fair price. If you have "average" size legs, are ready to upgrade from very basic knee pads, but aren't ready to shell out $50 to $100 for a pair, this is a good choice.

These are really comfortable (as comfortable as knee pads can be). The bending feature allows me to kneel on my knees and sit all the way down (with my butt touching the heels of my shoes). My other pads (that don't bend) feel awkward when trying to site like this. The padding is thick enough to be comfortable on hard floors (we'll see how they hold up over time). And I like that there are loops for the excess straps so they're not hanging down. So far my circulation hasn't been cut off which tends to be a problem with my other pads after wearing for a while. My only critique is that I'm not used to the rounded knee. My other pads are more square/flat so when you're kneeling you don't roll left or right. With this rounded knee pad, you can roll side to side. On one hand I like the extra mobility but on the other hand it almost feels a bit wobbly. But I'm sure it's just something that I'll get used to with increased usage.

One of the biggest problems that I’ve had with most knee pads are the straps. If they aren’t fairly snug, then they won’t stay in place and will start falling down. The flip side of that is if you get them snug, they end up cutting off my circulation. A lot of the time I just don’t strap them on at all. I’ll just put them on the floor and kneel into them, of course doing that they won’t move with you, and you are more stationary and not mobile. So far with these, the fact that they are hinged, allow for the straps to be farther apart and so that they haven’t been rolling together forming a tourniquet on my legs. I’m more mobile and can keep them on for a longer amount of time. The cushion on the inside is fairly thick and provides a nice protective barrier between my knees and the hard floor. The straps easily clip on with no complicated buckles to contend with. They seem like they will last a good long time and I’m happy that I got them.

I do residential and commercial plumbing/hvac.15 years in the trade and my knees aren’t the best. These so far have been very comfortable and have stayed in place ( not falling down around my ankles when I walk around) I’d say good bang for the buck. Would definitely recommend.

Son cómodas,resisten impactos y se ajustan perfectamente a la rodilla. No es óptimo si usas pantalón de HEMA.
