Six stars actually. With the stock cylindrical grips my palms would kill and my hands would go numb in no time. These have completely solved the problem. Having different places to put your hands is a great help. Easy to install as well. My only negative comment is that installation requires an Allen wrench and isopropyl pads, both of which I think ought to be included for the premium price you pay. Most homes will have both but others might not.

These installed easily and quickly. Needed a little time to adjust but that took only a few trial rubs. They feel secure and strong even when I lean my weight against them. I'm 6'2 270 lbs and they haven't moved or budged even when I put my weight into them to pedal hard. No feeling of pain when riding and they look great on my trek fx2

Wish there was a little more adjustment towards vertical. In order to get the grip pads in a good position for riding the vertical bars lean a little forward forcing me to reach a little further. My preference would be for them to angle backward, shortening my reach and allow for a more upright resting position. That said I'm keeping them because the grips are very comfortable and well made.

Attached this to my Specialized Sirrus 2.0 and they looked awesome. I like having different grips while riding. Easy to install and works like a charm.

I had been eyeing these bike grips for awhile but was not sure if I should spend so much. I finally pulled the trigger and I am glad I did. They are well worth the price for the comfort you will receive. I ride anywhere between 30-50 miles at a time and the grips I had were so uncomfortable. This are incredibly well made and easy to install. They secure well to your handle bar and provide an amazing amount of grip and comfort. I really did not know what I was missing until I used these. They also allow you to change your hand positions to provide better control of the bike. The best part that I had no idea until I purchased these is that now I find myself using better posture and now my back doesn't get as tight as it sometimes would during my long rides.

I was considering selling my 10 year old plus straight bar Bicycle because I was getting numbness in the hands from the straight handlebar on long rides. I tried some other add on bars and even add on drop bars. None of these worked for me, they were either too sharp on the ends with nuts exposed, and/or the angles just didn't work for me. Also the extensions I tried previously were all metal and not very comfortable.I figured I would try these as a last attempt to keep my bike which I absolutely love other than the bar. WOW! As soon as I installed them, I knew these were what I always needed/wanted. No exposed nuts since the handle bar grips and extensions are all incorporated together, The extensions have rubber covering making gripping them secure and comfortable, even when sweating. The set was extremely easy to install and adjust. The comfort I now have on longer rides is exactly what I was looking for. These make me feel like I DO have a New Bike!I HIGHLY Recommend these if you get hand numbness on straight bar bikes.

I have a hybrid/comfort bike for exercising in the evenings and weekends. I already have a pair of large hand grips with extended pad; but, still had hand numbness after 15-20 minutes of riding. I upgraded my gloves to OutdoorMaster Half Finger with Shock-absorbing Gel Pad and that got me up to 30-40 minutes before numbness would start to hit. The Ergon GP5 have a larger hand rest pad to spread the pressure and I like the handles to change your hand position for added comfort without sacrificing control of the bike. I'm still playing with the best handle position for comfort; but, I like them a little higher up than in the near horizontal setting. The handle bar hole on the Ergon grips seemed to be a touch too big or my handle bar is a touch too small in diameter because the Ergon grips slipped on with not a lot off effort and rotated freely once I put my palms on them. I experimented with double wrapping black electrical tape the length of the grips on the handle bar and using hair spray to lubricate the bar/tape (YouTube trick). The grips went on with some resistance and took some effort once the hair spray started to evaporate after a while to adjust for the most comfortable hand/palm angle. I also had to insert the grips all the way to the end where the handle bar ends were near to the Ergon adjustable hand grip hold attaches with the Allen topped screw. If not, the Ergon handles will come loose/off when riding. Because of this, the supplied decorative end caps were too long to insert; but, no-one will notice. I have no grip rotation when riding and the handles are very secured on the ends. You may not have the same issue with your bike like I did.I even ordered a 2nd pair for the wife's bike because I like the improvement in comfort so much.
