Not much to say here. Nice kit for those of you who want to give this a shot on your own. Comes with everything that you need to dry/preserve your tail and get it mounted. The plack is simple, which I like and made of solid wood.

I wasn't able to get a bird this past spring so I don't have it up yet, but I did assess the parts and assembly and everything appears to be exactly as described and simple to assemble. The materials are also as expected so I don't anticipate any type of issues regarding low quality. The price could probably come down a little but if it matches what you are looking for, it is a good buy. (I purchased the standard non-state version).

Still treating and drying the feathers to mount it but this block is very solid Oak and comes with the powder to preserve the feathers. The wire hoop on the back will help hold it all flat to the wall.Overall, not bad for the price

pretty simple and straight forward to mount tail and beard. Looks good as is however, I will take it a step further and laser engrave the face for a customized look. Decent product priced right - would buy again and customize again for a gift.

This fan mount is pretty similar to most that I use. It has provisions to display 3 beards and one fan. The wood is a nice blonde type and the finish is good. No dings or scratches that would take away from the aesthetics. Mounting is easy as well and it's pretty much a plug and play setup with your fan and beard. It also has a good amount of area on the face if you'd like to display your spurs as well. A nice basic mount that will allow you to display your turkey well.

Was really hoping to use this the first week of turkey season, but no luck as of yet. When I opened it I was surprised at the quality of the wood. It was nicely grained with a smooth finish that is ready for stain or poly. This kit comes with everything you need except the glue to mount the spurs and beard. Having the tail and beard saver included with the kit is a plus and I look forward to using it later in the season.Cost is a little pricey on this considering what is included in the kit. Had the wood been finished and sealed I would say the cost would have been a little more in line, but since you have to finish the wood cost is a little on the high side. It's not a deal breaker, but Cabela's has a several kits for half the money.
