I bought these drum heads, thinking they were for an acoustic drum kit. Unfortunately, they are designed for a marching band tenor kit and “heads only” set. So, I gave them to the local high school and they installed them on their drum set. They were quick and easy to install, even easier to tune, and they sounded great. Evans is a great name in drumheads, and so they should last for a long time.Just make sure you read the description and know what drumheads you were buying so you don’t make the same mistake that I made.

These worked well to replace heads on our quint toms (well, 4 of the 5 anyway--I forgot that we needed 6-8-10-12-13, not 6-10-12-13-14, but that's my mistake). Luckily, they have a very similar sound to some pinstripe heads from another brand that we had a not-completely-worn-out one on hand, so we're still good to go, and have an extra 14" head that I might throw on one of our drumset toms. They tuned up easily and get a good, clear tone. Be sure to measure ALL of your drums before ordering a set!

This is a really nice value for such a large variety of sizes. These heads work on regular drums as well as marching band drums, and have just a little more tang in the sound. I like that they're clear heads, and the metal ring that attaches them to the drum feels sturdy. The man is looking forward to testing them out on his regular drum kit to see what kind of sound they can provide in his jazz band that might be a unique new style.

It is a great head. Its got a balanced bounce where it does not go to high or to low. The drum head set includes (6", 10", 12", 13", 14") 5 different sizes,It pays to know your drum, so you can choose the right drumhead to compliment your drum!

I'm sort of "re-purposing" these and using them for a drum set not and marching tenor toms. They sound similar to a Remo Pinstripe, but with even more muting/muffling. In my very very dry sounding room (tons of room treatment), they sort of give off that 70's drum sound, soft and warm, which is a cool sound, but maybe not what I would like all the time. That being said, these heads aren't made for drum sets. I know these will last as all Evans heads are quality. I'm giving these 5 stars because they are a great price for all the heads you get!

I actually got these for my dad who is a drummer using full size drum sets (not marching sets). He needed a few of these sizes so when I saw them on Vine I snagged them right away as Evans is a good brand and he has used this brand before. Upon unpacking he said he can tell they will be good quality and work well for his drums. The price is reasonable too for a name brand like Evans!

Firstly, I was impressed by the packaging, all the heads fit nestled in one box with a doodad keeping them from hitting each other. The heads themselves were pretty thick and rugged. Quick to install and tune. I'm not a marching drummer but these sound great on my old Pacific kit.

My son marches, and we got a used tenor that was in desperate need of replacement heads. While he does prefer the heads that his school uses, he doesn't REMOtely mind these for home use. This was the first time he replaced and tuned tenor heads by himself (he has done his kit and snare before), and he didn't have too much of an issue tightening and tuning them. They do sound good and feel good, but they are a little different than he is used to on his day-to-day.
