I have a 2016 Chevrolet 2500HD Duramax. My receiver is 2.5” with an insert/reducer to 2.0” ID. The plug insert was a little small for the receiver but the end (flag cover cap) was great. The holes didn’t match for the depth of the receiver cover tongue insert (off by 1/4”) and my lock pin wouldn’t slide through. I used a 1/2” drill bit to open the hole up slightly for a perfect fit. Looks great too. I got tired of people stealing my receiver covers and this should solve the problem! I would suggest making the receiver cover without the holes (which may lower material/manufacturing cost) but marked (on both sides) in half inch increments and let the consumer drill the holes to custom fit to their hitch. Great product/material/concept, just needs a little “fine tuning.”

exactly what I was looking for. I bought one for my ram 3500 and one for my uforce 1000. Looks stylish, not loud or fancy and brings that American Pride. I know that the Ram has a 2.5 hitch, but I just bought the foam adapters here on amazon and they make a perfect snug fit in the hitch. No issues and no rattle as they are a hard rubber type material.

I had a similar product that was made of metal, it rusted badly. This cover is rubberized and should last longer, it also fits without the need for a pin.

It is a great design, plastic, won't rust. Solid craftsmanship, no flaws. I liked it so much that I bought foam hitch spacers used to keep hitch from rattling to fit into 2.5 hitch receiver but the pin hits right in the middle of the 2 predrilled pin holes. Going to try and retrofit because I like it so much.
