Bought this in 2019 and it's still going strong and has lasted longer than the original. I don't feel it was as bright as the original but not much of a drop off.. longevity definitely has the original beat. For the price this was a no brainer..very simple install too ( I don't typically leave reviews)

Very easy to Install product. When I turned on my device It appears to turn on for a few seconds, I see the color wheel do its thing and then it turns off and I'm presented with a lamp failure indicator. This is the same symptom as my other lamp. I plan on returning the product and maybe trying a different one. I have the same Optoma projector as some of the other customers.

Alright, 1200 hours in and I've had no issues. My last one burst into a million pieces (bought projector secondhand, so no idea how many hours it actually had). Got this replacement lamp ahead of time for the inevitable failure. haha I've had it installed now for about a year and a half. No complaints at all. Was straightforward to install by myself, and worked right away without issue. Restarted the lamp hours to keep track. Totally happy and I'll probably buy this same lamp again, if I don't upgrade my projector before then.

Purchased this replacement bulb in august 2020. Everything install perfectly. The image was bright and clear. Now it’s February 18,2021 roughly 9 months later, I noticed the bulb lost roughly 50 percent of its brightness. Do not buy this bulb. You best off spending your money on an OEM OPTOMA bulb. Don’t make the same mistake I made. Reviews are great but if you follow up with then months later I bet the bulb has either failed or is so dimmed you barely can watch anything.

*Amended Nov 27, 2021On the same day I posted 1 star for this lamp, I reached out to the manufacturer for assistance. This was their response:"Hey MatthewWe have sent a new replacement based on the address you.You will receive it within 7 business days.Thank you for trusting EWO'S lamp. Our premium customer service always be appreciated to assist you with your issues. Even you need any helps please do feel free to contacts us.Best RegardsE-MORSE"Nothing further was required of me. The new lamp arrived on my doorstep about an hour ago. I'm impressed with the customer service. Well done.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Nov 24, 2021For the short time it worked, it was great. Regrettably, it died all of the sudden in a projector that is ceiling mounted. It's location ensures that it can't be bumped, jostled, slammed, banged, fiddled with or damaged by virtually any other kinetic force. It was working last night when I powered the unit down, today it's dead as a doornail. A quick test with a continuity checker proves that the lamp circuit is 'open'.If the lamp cost was only $10 or $20 I probably wouldn't complain about it suddenly not working after only a few months. At a cost of almost $100 when I bought it, I don't think this is acceptable. I reached out to the seller today via Amazon. I'll ammend my one star review if the seller reaches back out with a reasonable solution.

The first time I purchased the bulb in 2018 it worked perfectly. I ordered another bulb in November 2020 and I just opened it 11/19/21 and it does not work. I did see a return date of January 2022 but now I see December 2020. The good thing is the bulbs last a long time are are good quality when they actually work.

It looked all good but i couldn't try it out. I returned it because it wasn't my bulb that was bad, my projector died.

I replaced my OEM lamp with this one after the OEM exploded in my projector, I thoroughly cleaned out the glass from my projector and put in this lamp and my HD26 is performing better than ever. Highly recommended.

Had 5200h on my Optima gt1080 projector, was time for a new bulb. I was worried at first that it might not fit, could break it trying to install it, maybe it wouldn't be bright enough... Had anxiety for nothing. This new bulb has made all the difference in the world. It's bright, can watch it in the day time now. Was easy to install, watched a YouTube video called "Optima technology - replacing the lamp in your Optima projector" by Optomausa. Video is just over a minute long, about the same amount of time it took to replace the bulb. It's as easy as unscrewing a couple screws, unplugging old bulb, plug in new one, screw the couple screws back in. The quality is just as a good now as when I unboxed it a few years ago. Really wish I would've bought a new bulb sooner!

Purchased this unit for replacement in my Optoma HD-141X. Previous (manufacturer's) bulb had about 2000 hours on it when it finally decided to start dimming (see photo). Fortunately, I pulled it before the thing exploded.Unit arrived in typical Chinese postal prep: Box completely obscured of any identifiers (black paper), and wrapped completely in cellophane tape. There was simply a label on the outside that identified the unit.Unboxed the unit, and appeared to be clean and well prepared. There didn't appear to be any issues.Since my unit was already mounted, I didn't feel the necessity of having to pull it down - just to change the bulb. Glad I didn't because changing it out was a breeze.(1) With a Phillips-head screwdriver, loosen the screw (on the top/side of unit) to the cover/plate.(2) Pull/Slide off cover plate to expose unit inside.(3) Lift up lever/handle of internal lamp unit.(4) Loosen self-retaining securing screw (black) found on top of lamp unit.(5) Gently pull unit out of body of projector - this may require some slight wiggling to remove.(6) Unplug unit from power source of projector.Installation of new unit is done in reverse order. Entire process took about 5 minutes. So far, the quality of the picture appears every bit as good as the original unit. Colors are bright and bold without any signs of flare or visual artifact. Due to the unit being new, I did not pull apart the housing to verify it was the same bulb. For those who are interested in the original bulb identification, it is an OSRAM P-VIP 190/0.8 E20.8
