I ordered these shorts in size 10 for my slim built older daughter, but the waist was uncomfortably tight. They fit better, but still not good, on my 46" 50 lb 6 year old. My younger daughter is the one pictured trying these on. The excessively wide waist band actually fits, but the legs are gigantic and gaping on her. The material is thin and cool with a slight stretch, and it's a shame they weren't able to design these shorts with a cut that would fit and be comfortable.

I ordered size 10 for my 8 year old and am very glad I did as the waistband runs small. It’s a very stretchy but also very tight-fitting waistband. On my slim 56 lb 8 year old the shorts fit without being too tight so she’ll have some room to grow. The way the shorts hang isn’t very flattering since the waist is so tight and the shorts flare out from there.They are definitely low-cut shorts and the inside liner is almost a necessity given how short the inseam is.The fabric is very similar to Zia shorts so it has a very athletic feel. It’s a smooth but not soft fabric, and is very thin. You could probably use these as swimsuit bottoms even.

I ordered the size 12 and these shorts run small! Plus the waist band is incredibly thick. My daughter didn't find shorts comfortable, at all. She wore them for an hour before asking to take them off.Besides, the material feels like a weird, thin, plastic. It's a soft and smooth fabric, but still plastic feeling. The design isn't very flattering either. The only nice thing I have to say is the material is dark and not see through.

These shorts feel like they're made out of a thin disposable bag material. They definitely run quite small and the waistband is very uncomfortable. Look elsewhere.
