I use a number of different Excel blades in my DYI workshop. I don't use them for carving as such. I am totally devoid of any artistic talent. I do use Excel blades in the shop for many different tasks and have used the concave version of this blade for years. I only recently received these convex blades and I really like them. For some tasks they work much better than the concave version. They are good for clean out of holes and trimming or opening up in any sort of tight place. And like all the Excel blades they are razor sharp, hold their edge well and are made in USA.

Very versatle Blades. Take a new edge well when needed and stay sharp longer than the "X" Brand. Use them for both wood and leatherwork. Very Satisfied!

This knife blade is very handy for fine finish work or fine detail. It will just shave the wood to get your project looking very good.
