Je ne fais pas de camping et je dors sur le côté, alors ça me prend un matelas de camping de qualité, car je suis difficile ! J'ai acheté ce matelas pour pouvoir dormir dans l'auto, lors de voyages. Lors de ma première nuit, j'ai mal dormi, car j'avais trop gonflé le matelas (une erreur de débutant). Voici mon truc pour un matelas idéalement gonflé: vous le gonflez un peu trop, puis vous ouvrez la valve "out"; après avoir fermé la valve "out", vous gonflez le matelas en utilisant la petite pompe à main 25 fois, pas plus. Je trouve le matelas très confortable, assez léger et il se range facilement dans son sac. Petit point négatif: il ne se gonfle pas beaucoup tout seul, on doit utiliser la petite pompe à main qui est incluse dans le sac; ça ne prend pas de force, simplement un peu de patience (3-4 minutes) et le tour est joué.

I have several back packing pads. These are light weight but provide terrible sleep - too hard.I have a queen air mattress that is much thicker and requires an electric pump. It’s actually too soft and while I sleep better than back packing I get back aches - too soft.The 4” foam and air Exped is the perfect in between solution. It inflates quickly and provides a firm but comfortable sleep. - it’s just right!I just took it on a trip where I kept it inflated for two legs of the trip. One 3 nights and one 5 nights. I never re-inflated.For first use some extended inflation periods are suggested. Unroll for 24 hrs then inflate for 4 before sleeping. I didn’t read the instructions until setting up camp so I had to short cut this. Seems ok but I’d suggest reading the instructions upon receipt.Would buy again.One complaint with Amazon. Immediately after receipt it went on sale at REI for $140 cheaper. Amazon didn’t respond to my return request for the reason of found cheaper. I couldn’t wait any longer due to my trip so I just accepted the buyers remorse that came with that. Great Product though.

I bought this without knowing how it would fit in my vehicle.(24 Outback Wilderness) It fits perfectly! The front seats have to be forward though. Unless you do what I did and move the front seats forward to inflate, close the hatch, then move the front seats to where you want them and don’t open the hatch.Has enough room for my dog Stormy(German shepherd Siberian husky mix ) and I, with room if my Pops wants to sleep in the back. As well as some space in the trunk area for small things. I put most of my gear in the footwells and in the front passenger seat.Inflation time with the hand pump is about 15 or so minutes. Otherwise you can wait about 45-50 minutes for it to self inflate, then top it off with the hand pump. It seems durable enough, it’s foam on the inside, I have not gotten it wet so I don’t know if it is water absorbing foam.It’s super durable and even at a really firm inflation, Stormy’s claws don’t even seem to do anything to it. She won’t let me trim her claws with a tool, so they’re very sharp and long.It’s horribly comfortable when you find your firmness setting with the adjustment valve at the top. Feels better than my bamboo memory foam mattress at home. Didn’t wake up hurting and sore either.I ended up taking it out of the car to roll it up after all said and done while out camping. Took maybe 5 minutes, and the stuff sack has extra room if you don’t get all the air out completely.I definitely enjoy this mattress and I’ll be getting a queen size exped mattress for my tent, thats for sure.Slight cons: it does have an air mattress rubbing noise to it when moving around on it. It also takes a while to use the adjustment valve if you’re going from super firm to soft.

I was a bit upset about how my return was handled with the actual company, but Amazon made it right. I had ordered the mega 10 duo and it was too short. I’m 5’6” and love to stretch out my legs. I knew my pillow would end up falling off. I returned for the extra long and wide. I didn’t really need extra wide but wanted a little more width than the single. The perfect size for someone who “wollers” when tent camping in the heat would be more like 40” wide with the extra long. That’s the only reason I went with the duo, but didn’t think about the length until I got the first pad. I didn’t really want the duo. It will take up a lot of space in my tent but maybe it’ll come in handy being so wide 1 day. Hopefully I will sleep like a queen. It’s still a very comfortable sleeping pad and I wouldn’t get any other as I hate an air mattress. I didn’t get to use it the last trip I had planned because of tornado weather Mother’s Day weekend. Not sure how it sleeps yet. It did take a while to self inflate the first time. Hopefully it won’t take as long the next time, no biggie if it does. I hope to give an update in a month.Oh, I did purchase a cheap full size fitted sheet that fits pretty decent on the mega mat 10 duo extra wide and long, if that helps anyone. I want to keep it clean.The extra large storage bag in comes in is pretty sweet!! U won’t need to worry about fitting it back into the bag. It also came with a repair kit and this little handy dandy pump. I noticed some people complained about the pump, but I didn’t have any issues with it because you really don’t need to pump it much. It’s the perfect little pump that attaches easily and also fits perfectly in the bag. I noticed when I did use the pump it was over inflated and had to let some air out. If u over inflate it feels more like an uncomfortable air mattress. If the pump is used after it self inflates, it doesn’t need much. You will learn your own comfort level and it’s super easy to let some air out and you won’t have to worry about letting too much air out unless u are on the mat while opening the valve.

Very expensive for a camping mattress but I've tried a couple of other cheaper ones and not been happy with them. Delighted with this one. It's easy to inflate, very comfortable, provides great insulation from the ground, and, importantly to me, is easy to deflate and pack away. A good investment.

I was so hesitant to pay $200 for a camping pad despite obsessing over this one for some time. However after reading some reviews and the one that said it was the price of staying in a hotel, I was pushed over the edge. I rarely stay in hotels, mostly camp and thought I owe it to myself to get something decent.I am in love with this pad. There is no turning back. It is so easy to setup. I lay it out in my tent with the intake valve open to let a little air in and then later a few puffs (a minute) with the accompanying pump and voila, I have a comfortable pad. It is possible to have it very very firm or let a little air out and have a little give. Packing up, open the output valve and roll from the other end. The valves are great, easy to use and large enough. The bag it comes with is very convenient and easy to carry.I spent hours laying on it to read and then hours of sleeping. It is easy to get off of i.e. unlike an air mattress which sinks when you sit up, this stays firm. I also slept in 16 degree weather in my tent and felt well insulated.This is NOT a backpacking mattress as it is too big when rolled up but is perfect for car camping (I have a very small car)

Exped's most mega mat is named aptly, so you don't miss what it is, and what it does! Just in case you haven't twigged yet, this mat is mega! If you want a mat that's as good to sleep on as your own bed, this is it. It's almost exactly the same length and width as the standard single beds in our spare bedrooms. It's good and thick and well insulated, too so if you use it when car-camping, you get a great night's sleep, fellow campers allowing, that is! Its plenty warm enough to use over four seasons, keeping you well off frozen ground and staying warm to the touch. The top-side cover is soft to the touch and not as low-friction as some mats, which means you're more inclined to stay put over-night! The edges are square, which means you have good support right up to the edges, which combined with its generous dimensions in the first place, means you seldom stray off the mat, with arms, elbows, knees and tootsies staying over insulated territory - something that isn't always the case when using a back-packing sleeping mat, which are necessarily cut down to limit their weight.Down-sides? Two - price and weight. At close to a couple of hundred quid, it's firmly in premium-price-land... and with a weight of two and half kilos you're not going to be taking it up Eiger or tucked neatly in your cycle pannier! The over-size stuff-sac works well, too and is perfect for quick camp-strike times at the end of your week-end, but it does not make for a neat roll. The mat can go into the supplied sack while still partially inflated which is a plus, 'cos it takes ages to completely empty, but the down-side is that it is nowhere as compact as when fully deflated.It's supplied with a mini-pump and a first aid kit (for the mat, that is, not for humans...) but the mini pump, which is the same one they supply for mats with much smaller volumes, struggles a bit to make any headway with the amount of air needed to fill the megamat - best to open the valves and leave it to inflate as a result of the foam expanding, then top it up to your favourite firmness with the mini-pump.In summary, if you car-camp a lot and value a good night's sleep and/or, like me, you're the wrong side of your best-before-date... raid the piggy bank and get one - you won't regret it. Many Zeds will be piled up as a consequence!
