the fabric felt quite stiff when it came, so I washed it according to the instructions on the listing (hand wash and air dry) and just to be safe I washed it as I wash my silks, in cold water. Yes, the net has softened, but the embroidery has shrunk and puckered the net all over. I bought this to make a waterfall jacket for my daughter's wedding, so I'm very disappointed. If you buy, don't wash it. Waste of money, sadly, I can't use it for anything at all.

I used this sheer fabric to make a "stolla" to wear over a silver long evening dress that I wore to my Grandson's wedding. It was absolutely GORGEOUS!! It made the dress come alive!
