LOVE the idea — but they BREAK EASILY, unfortunately (see last 5 pictures): The magnets are VERY strong, and therefore tend to “jump” toward each other even when you THINK you have a good hold on the two opposing pieces. Within the first touch, one magnet broke free from its side and flew to the other piece. Then the second magnet joined its friend, too. Meanwhile, the rubberized piece actually bent, as it must have a strip of THIN metal inside.SO, could you try to re-glue them? Sure. …but even so, BE CAREFUL with these, and KEEP THE TWO SIDES WELL APART FROM EACH OTHER UNTIL THEY ARE SEPARATED BY YOUR HAT MATERIAL (or whatever you putting them on). THEN, you should be alright.I would have given a higher starred review if they hadn’t immediately broken. That’s annoying, but if I had some fore-warning that extreme care should be taken while removing them from their shipping cardboard piece, I might have had a better outcome. Maybe YOU will be more careful, and will love them! :)

Really strong and grips well. There are little teeth in the top portion, though short, so they can really "dig into" the fabric. Works perfectly and the magnets themselves are super responsive - they attach quickly and don't need to be perfectly lined up to work, though of course that's optimal. Small enough to toss in a bag. And the outer part is rubbery so really easy on the hands. Great item for sunglasses or glasses in general.

These clips seemed like such a great idea. The description says one can “Use one holder on shirts, sweaters, jackets, and more!”. Although I don’t wear hats, I often store my glasses in a shirt pocket, or a loop attached to my shirt. When I saw this in the description, I thought these holders would work great for my application. They did, for just over one day. Then the magnets came loose, sticking to the magnets in the opposite clip just due to prying them apart.I’m uncertain how the magnets were attached to the small sheet metal disk on the rubber backing. It seems they might be mechanically connected because there are tiny metal barbs on the disk that might have held the magnets like a gem setting. They may have been secured with adhesive, though no residue is visible. In any case, the connection of the magnets to the backing is inadequate, rendering them useless.

I really like the concept of this. I’m tired of digging through my purse to find my sunglasses or readers. I thought this would work well to have on my purse for easy access. It was working well and then I must’ve bumped it the wrong way on my purse and it became detached. Not a big deal but when I went to reattach it I could see that it had made little holes on my purse. I believe the prongs are to help keep it attached but it would be better if they were on the inside piece and not on the outside piece to prevent this from happening. So, now I’m hesitant to put it back on my purse. Maybe if it was an old purse I wouldn’t mind.

I wanted to like this and to use it for use on my clothing. It's difficult to walk around with a hanging eyeglass case like I currently do, so I was really looking forward to these working out for me. First, they are very well made and the magnets are super, super strong. It works by applying one side inside the clothing and the other outside, where the magnets keep the clip still. The problem is when I stick my eyeglass arm through the holder, it's not wide enough to have the arm go completely through, thus my glasses are almost all the way out. Secure, but not 100%. If you have smaller eyeglass arms, this may work out for you. As for using them on your caps or hats, they would work as pictured on the ad, where only the ear part of the eyeglass arm will go through and they stay secured on your cap or hat as if you're wearing them above your eyes. Not something that's easily done if you're trying to place them in the clip while driving or walking. You would actually have to focus your attention to placing the arms in the clip holder, which was not what I was looking for. A very well made and nicely packaged item, however, and worth the money if you don't have a larger armed eyeglass or sunglass.

They're what I expected except that the temples of my eyeglasses actually slid through more easily than I expected. I've only worn one of the clips on my pants hip so far, where gravity kept my glasses from falling off, but I would be worried about thin temples slipping out in a sideways or down-angled configuration, such as on a hat or backpack. It seems like thick temples will do fine. The magnet is strong enough for daily use and has parallel rows of teeth to grip whatever cloth is between them. The teeth also gripped my skin and gave me a little stab when the magnets closed around my finger, so be more mindful than I was about how you hold them when (you think) they're apart. The construction seems

I have glasses that I only need in certain situations, which makes it hard to keep up with them. They're a little delicate (not sunglasses in the pictures) so I'm afraid to wear them and then have nowhere to put them down while I don't need them. I can't just drop them in a bag or put them in my pocket without a caseI got these magnetic clips to see if they'll help me use my glasses more frequently. So far, I'm a big fan, they work as described. In the photo I used one on a thick sweatshirt and the hold is solid. The only challenge I anticipate is keeping up with both parts of the holder and remembering to put it on whatever I'm wearing each day. If you put these on a baseball cap, or have jacket/sweater you wear daily, I don't think that would be a problem since they can just stay in place.Overall, I'd definitely recommend these magnetic glasses holders!
