This is an updated review. According to the seller this bulb is 100% authentic purchased from Hortilux which is no longer in business. You can buy these bulbs in a case of 24. Or you can buy them individually. These 600 watt HPS bulbs came from an original case of 24 broken down so the seller does not have 24 original individual boxes to use for each bulb. The seller packs each bulb using their own packaging. Seller should send a short canned note in the package with these bulbs informing the buyer of this circumstance.

I want a return, the first bulb I was sent was clearly had been used. Had black suet all over it. Now this, Jan 31 was on the very next day it died. This light should burn for 9 months if it was a real Hortilux bulb. I called Hortilux, they do not sell to Amazon ? So to me , someone is using their name on a off brand bulb. Hortilux was not happy to hear this ? Please return for a replacement asap

This light really is the cats meow when in flower cycle. It does not let you down with the excellent red spectrum and lumens. Buds resemble chicken legs. I don't think you can buy a better HPS.

I had this outstanding bulb for a lil over a year until if finally blew. So I bought this current one but my dumb self didn't see that it was a 600 watt bulb & I needed a 400 watt bulb🤦🏻♂️. So I'm screwed outta almost $100 bucks for now because of my own actions. So now I gotta find the 400 watt bulb & I'll be back on track💯. This is one of the best HPS bulbs I've ever used through the whole process. Hands down their worth the money👍🏽.

If you want the best you have to pay more. These are the best. I just don't understand why the 600's cost more than 1000's.A 10% increase in yield, by using the best bulb, will result in an additional few hundred dollars worth of "produce". That's spectacular for a few extra bucks on the front end by merely buying these bulbs. Being a miser on hps bulbs isn't smart. If you're using hps, only use these!Veg anyway you want. Flower with Eye Hortilux Super HPS.Update: I've learned EH offers the best HPS bulbs....at a price. The last EH 600w SHPS bulb I bought was barely wrapped in a single layer of bubble wrap. The sale was fulfilled by Amazon. It only lasted 6 1/2 months. There's a pandemic going on and I've been unable to reach Amazon or Eye Hortilux Customer Service. These bulbs are expensive. If their warranty is useless I will investigate the new full spectrum passively cooled leds before I buy 1 more EH bulb. I will update this if Eye Hortilux or Amazon provides information or fulfills the warranty.2nd Update: EH eventually gave me a replacement. It took a while, as expected during an international crisis. I just can't quit thinking about those hlg Scorpion Diablo's, tho. I wonder how 1 would work when paired with a 600 EH SHPS in a 4x8? Hmmm.......

Glass base (instead of metal - which can melt and cause a failure like some cheaper bulbs). Intense (as per lux meter). Great value at $75 CDN.

I'm not 100% sold on the supposed miraculous difference between these and cheap bulbs, but it does seem to be working great, so I can't complain. You pay for a name, but the quality is all there.

I have used these bulbs for years (600 w). They are better than any other bulb I have used. Perfect for veg. and bloom. All my bulbs have lasted at least 18 months. They have worked great with magnetic and digital ballasts. I always have a spare on hand. This is simply the best bulb and worth the price.
Honest Opinion.

Huge difference! These things are bright. Remember, always wipe the bulb off with a clean towel and a squirt of alcohol before installing. It is very important to remove any fingerprints or other oils from the bulb. If not, it could shatter when it heats up. You do not want that. I am using these with both magnetic and digital ballasts. These are very bright. I was a little taken aback when I saw the difference from my old ones. I think the EYE-Horti's will make a huge difference in the flowering room, they already throw a noticeably brighter light than my old ones. These are twice the price at my local hydro shop. Buy with confidence, these are great.

The bulb in the picture is not the bulb you get. It looks nothing like it except it is a 600 watt hps. False advertising! the bulb is not a Hortilux it is at different brand. The brand is midnight Sun it has a night hooter bird (Owl) as its logo. That being said it has performed great. It has took much abuse that would have blown other bulbs The light seems the same color as a Hortilux they put out not quite as yellow A light as the cheap high pressure sodium bulbs. this is a great bulb but in no way does it physically resemble a Hortilux. If they had the right picture and didn't try to advertise this as a Hortilux they would have gotten 5 stars.
