would not stick to windshield. It melted in Texas heat within 60 days of use. The unit and the cup all deformed.

The magnet is poorly made. The magnet is not even connected to the main unit. I supposed I could just super glue it to make it work, but I'm just going to throw it away, and pay for one that cost more.

The screws keep getting loose and will not hold the radar detector, I super glued it to make it hold. will not buy another one.

I purchased this as a savings to the Escort original mount. This replacement is a regular suction cup vs. the Escort Sticky Cup but seems to hold fine, even on sunny days.My biggest gripe is that it loosened up a lot during the first couple of days. I had to keep re-tightening it. After about the 3rd day and hot day cycle of the clamps not holding position, things stopped moving and stayed tight. It is a multi arm articulated unit, while offering more adjustability it jiggles around A LOT MORE. I have well balanced tires and my Mercedes E550 rides smooth BUT every little bump in the road and my radar detector jiggles around. If you had a special application where you needed more adjustability, I think it would be a good choice. For me, it will make a good back-up but I much prefer the genuine Escort mount.
