My grandson loves mixing things up so this is perfect for him. I was a little disappointed in the size of the vials but it is fun for him. He can create all kids of potions but would be easier to use if vials were bigger. Not a bad product for the price.

Freaking phenomenal product!I had the biggest smile on my face when I came across this. I was really hoping the kit was actually what it was claiming to be (and it is) because it offers soooo many variations and possibilities for our LO to explore with.There is a great start of items inside this kit and it is super simple to add other items to throw in the jars, or other colors to dye the water. Our youngest always has such a fun time creating her little spell jars. We crafted a small wand for her out of a random stick we found, stripped some of the bark off and let her paint and decorate it. Now she uses it when making her little jars for an added level of imagination.We also included a small 20ml bottle of glycerin as well, to allow for levels to be created within the small jars. Adding colors to one or multiple levels (like when we add olive oil or rubbing alcohol to them as well) gives it another dimension of visuals for her to gaze at.These have not only worked out splendidly as a creative outlet but they have also been as fabulous for using as a sensory tool to help her calm down or re-focus when she is feeling overwhelmed or over-stimulated. Being pocket/purse size too, allows these to be taken along when that kind of thing never could be an option due to the sheer size.Seriously, you’d think this was just another fun toy, but for us it has also become an innovative tool to help her focus and relax, especially when it is *needed*. Thank you!!

This entire set is beautiful! It comes with dye, vines, charms, string, labels, leaf stems , and glitter flake accessories to decorate and make potion bottles. This set is meant for little girls, but the glass bottles made me decide to keep them instead of gifting them to my girls. There are 3 plastic necklace bottles that I gave to them instead that also come in this set. Since I kept the glass bottles, I decided to use them for odd things, and label them. I put googly eyes in one jar, and labeled it-“ a googly man’s eyes”. In another I put blue feathers in, labeling it-“a bluebird’s feathers”. In another I took my kids keepsake baby teeth and bottled them saying - “a baby’s teeth” . So as I think of or see odd things I bottle them do I can set up a display for people to look at sideways. I absolutely love the face of my guest who read the vile-“a baby’s teeth.” As well as my husband’s toenail clippings-“A bitter man’s toenails “. It gives me a good giggle as they examine human teeth thinking the worst, or look in disgust at a jar of toenails. It’s great for my humor, and gives me a bit of dark humor to enjoy. I thought I could make potions, or ingredients for them which I enjoyed much better. This is a great set for older teens, and crafty adults. I recommend these for anyone expanding their artistic of creative talents by expressing themselves through these bottles. As an adult, these have brought me a few of my most creative and humorous works that I enjoy everyday. Great product!

overall i love this kit and i think its great kids that love spooky things but the cylinder shaped bottles feel like they are made of thin glass which isnt mentioned anywhere on the product page that i could find, luckily i have plastic bottles to use instead but i think if the bottles are glass then it needs to say they are glass

My kids really like to make potions, whether from kits or more ad hoc. They and I both like the kits more, since it comes with everything, so they're not snagging stuff I wish they wouldn't, begging me to help them find ingredients, or making larger scale messes where they shouldn't.We've tried several different potion kits at this point, and while this isn't quite my very favorite, it's only a little behind that one. The only thing it's missing that we liked in others are misty potion powder, a few extra discrete ingredients, and a booklet with creative ingredient names/descriptions and potion recipes.In its favor:1) Has a lot of bottles, including a nice good number of specialty-shaped ones.2) It has three primary colored coloring droppers (as opposed to some kids only having a couple in say pink and green), so you can mix and match shades to your heart's content.3) It has a lot of different colored glitters.4) It's got two funnels, a magic wand/stirrer, the typical mandrake/plant, some nice little sparkly additives, a couple unicorns, a good set of potion label stickers (some pre-printed, most blank) and some little charms you can tie onto the bottle's neck with (included) twine (which adds a really nice touch)5) The box serves as a two-tier potion display, if you so desire.This is a good option, and solid value at its price point of around twenty bucks.

My little Harry Potter fan (age 8) loved this toy. She played for hours making potions and now has them all displayed on her desk.

Yo los utilicé como prompts para una partida física de Calabozos y Dragones en donde soy un personaje alquimista que fabrica cosas medicinales y no tan medicinales. Me di vuelo con la creatividad, e hice muchas "pócimas" con diversos materiales, tanto los que venían en la caja como otras cosas caseras que tenía a la mano. El resultado fue espectacular y es muy divertido ponerlos en la mesa de rol y repartirlos a los compañeros, así que además de ser un juego divertido para niños, también es buena idea usarlo como accesorio para juegos de rol. En la imagen pueden apreciar que fabriqué algunos solo con los colorantes que vienen en la caja, así como la diamantina y los objetos pequeñitos. Pero a otros también les añadí aceite de coco, jabón, alcohol, extractos etc, para crear muchos efectos visuales diversos. Me divertí mucho.Edit: Recomendación, dejar las botellitas siempre de pie. El corcho absorbe mucho los líquidos, causando pérdidas. Incluso algunas de mis pócimas, mes y medio después, ya tienen fugas. Los corchos no son muy buenos.
