Perfect for garden use to keep critters away from plants. You need to move them so the critters are fooled into thinking they are real.

These look so real that it made my wife burst into tears and run off - she's never been afraid of snakes, and she knew we were unboxing fake snakes, yet it spooked her good. We'll find out how they work as a squirrel deterrent but for now I can already confirm that this is an excellent wife deterrent.

Everybody who sees this thinks it’s real. I put it in my car to deter people from even thinking about breaking in lol

I decided to review these 2 snakes for a prank that I have planned, so I only took off 1 star for the issue where they are tweaked, which you can see in the photo that I took. For a prank it's not really an issue, but it does take away from the aesthetics. They arrive tightly wrapped in a plastic bag, which is fit into a tiny box. If this is what tweaked them, then forcing them into the right position for a while, might fix it.I really like the 2-tone brown snake, as it looks more like a real rattlesnake that you can throughout the Mojave Desert. The red-brown snake is a little strange, as I don't think I've ever seen one with those colors, but it will probably still scare someone. There doesn't appear to be any wire inside, or any way to adjust the orientation of either snake, they are just molded in position. Placing this in a box with an Arduino that controls something that vibrates, and a speaker, is going to be interesting. :)

I did think these were larger snakes, so I'm a little disappointed about that, but they still look very good. Honestly, I'm not knocking off a star for the size, though. One of the snakes had a bit of a twist to the head that keeps it from resting in a natural position.I got these on advice that they might scare cats away from unwanted areas, and I can not confirm if they work since I haven't seen any cats, myself. What I can confirm is they have scared the heck out of several guests and one person got frightened TWICE even knowing it was there the second time, because they looks so lifelike.
