Call this a fluid head is misleading. There is nothing "fluid" about this head, on the opposite it is very "jerky". There is no fluid cartridge inside the head.

I opened the small box, in it was the Panoramic Ball Head, the Arca Swiss Quick Release Plate, 2 allen wrenches, and 3 screws. There are no instructions at all in the box. What makes this head so nice is that is has a arm that can help you move the head with a camera on top so you can do panoramic videos. But this also does something else that can be important to recording something that is moving in front of you and moving up and down at ease while your moving across your view. I wanted to show that but after I screwed the release plate on top and then still had this other screw and allen wrench. I had no idea where they go and then flipped the head over and it has a 3/8 inch hole instead of a 1/4 inch like I have in my tripods. So I need another adaptor before I can use it. But this happened to me on a tripod I had years ago and it was fixed in a few moments with that adaptor. This is really a very nice piece of equipment and I have heads that will turn 360 degrees too but the arm makes this one extra nice. I do hope that helps in some way. Also keep anything they send with video equipment as you may need it in the future. I have a little bag I keep all of that recording stuff together.

I was very excited to try this out on a pair of astronomy binoculars because of the robust and low profile build. I'm already familiar with the Fanaue brand, as I'm currently using and loving the heavy duty binocular mount as seen in the image. The TD-01 is also built and machined well, but the operation of this tripod mount is far from fluid or smooth! Very loose components wobble around and to make adjustments like panning or tilting has zero fine adjustments before the handle or the pivots get loose and wobbly. This also does not have any dampening effect like some other similarly priced tripod mounts have. No separate dampening knobs, no pretentioning, just a twist clamp for on/off for the pivots on this one. Also, the rotational panning is very notchy and mine will not rotate a full 360 without hitting two hard stops/ notches. While it's basic duties function and mount is robust, the advertised "fluid" and "smooth" operation did not exist on my example.
