I use this Fobeli Hard Case to tote around a Rode NT1-A Microphone. I still wrap the mic in non=scratch material and then in a thin foam sheet before placing it into the Fobeli Case. I like another reviewer just compressed a bit of the interior (the area where it gets narrow for the mic stand of the AM8 mic) so it molded better to the Rode.It's perfect and the price makes it an excellent value.

This can work for other mics too, just check your dimensions.I had a spur of the moment trip from CA to TX come up and I needed travel with my podcast equipment. My biggest concern was keeping my Shure Sm7b mic safe and sound in my carry on luggage. This case worked well by just pushing in some of the interior molded parts to accommodate a larger mic. I'm very happy with this case.
