Following a Youtube video I removed the broken paper pickup driver cam and replaced it with a new one. It fit perfectly and works well.

Delivery was several days late, which seems more and more common with Amazon products these days, and not just becuase of Christmas. I paid more for this than others available because I was misled about an earlier delivery time.

It does what it is designed to do but the implementation is not sturdy. I don't know if it (the tip with a hook) will break later or not. At least I know why the "No paper error message" and how to fix it down the road.

I used this to repair my Brother HL-2270DW printer. It wouldn't pickup paper anymore and would throw an error light. If you pull the little plastic tab inward it would start working again. After some online searching I found this part as a replacement. Super simple to swap. the left side of the printer just pops off, then you remove a servo with just a little clip. The part then comes right out, and the new one falls into place. Just be careful to not break the tab putting it back in. If you ever want to see what planned obsolescence engineering looks like...

Wish I knew about this part before ordering new pickup roller kit, though I guess it won't hurt in the long term. Replacing this part is a big more involved than just rollers, but fairly easy if you have a screwdriver.For really good direction search Youtube for 'No Paper Message in MFC-7360,DCP-7055 Brother printers' and the video walks you through the process.
