Fits my 4Runner's headrest posts just fine, and my hard hat hangs securely on it.Could use some instructions to let you know you have to push hard to screw the grabbers onto the frame: the metal frame is threaded, but you're having to cut the threads in the plastic parts, so if you just try to screw them on normally, they spin without catching. Push while turning and they catch and hold.

This is a sturdy, well- made hat holder. I love that it is designed to hold a backpack and a hat, and it's holding up to the abuse of my little kid. The only downside of this is that I couldn't get it installed straight out is the box. My headrest posts were too thick, and the hard plastic attachment piece does not flex at all. It would be nice if this were a little flexible at that juncture to accommodate different size posts.As it happens, I took a drill bit to the area and reamed it out a bit. Works right as rain.

Metal bracket is thick, well coated, and somewhat flexible. Shows no signs of wear from taking hard hat off and on multiple times or from hard hat band rubbing while in transit. Would only fit on back on main seats headrest in Ford Escape, the back seats posts were not wide enough to allow holding in the cargo area. Otherwise, easy to snap in and out of posts when passengers are in the back seats. High enough to hold safety vest up off the floor as well. Overall, form and function are decent for the price.

What other thing is there to say other than, this is one of the best hard hat hooks I've had to date! If fits nice and snug in between the headrest posts. It also, extends plenty enough to hang your hard hat and it will not fall off. Definitely looks to be well made with good quality steel and plastic. What's in place it does not move and stays straight and sturdy. I 100% recommend this for the everyday construction worker that needs a place to hang their hat so it's not flying around in the back seat at every turn.
