This is the 5th Subbie I have used these on, and so far no failures. Surface prep is key though. Contact your local Subaru dealer and find out who they use to machine their heads. Not all machinists are created equal. If you skip the machining you are asking for trouble. Felpro will state that you need new head bolts. I believe this is myth. Subaru doesn't use stretch bolts and I don't believe they recommend replacing the head bolts.

Works great on a 2007 Ouback ej205. About double the thickness of the normal gasket. I think the stock gasket fel pro replacement is 26415pt.

I always use Fel-Pro gaskets on my Subaru’s and have never had any isssues!!

This fits my 2000 Subaru 2.5 engine perfectly. The only problem is it must be replaced if you start to tighten the head even if you think you had not compressed the gasket yet. I dropped a head bolt and had to remove the head (as I was replacing it while in the car) I guess I had tightened at least one bolt to tight prior to having all the bolts in place, thus the error and partial compression of the head gasket.

Make sure you order 2 of these if you're doing a subaru. I thought it came in a set but I was mistaken.BTW layered head gaskets like these fix the notorious head gasket problems that Subbies have.
