Broke on the 3rd post. I was just setting the posts and hadn't even fully driven them in. I set 3 posts about 8" deep to get my measurements right. On the 3rd one of mildly tapping it in, it broke through the impact plate. Don't waste your money. This is designed very poorly.

I already own a shorter (22") post driver which I have used for years and was hoping that by going with this longer version (32") that I would gain 10" of additional downward stroke on my rebar posts to develop more momentum as well as control. With this version, I gained neither as they effectively neutered any benefit of the added length, by welding the impact cap into Both section which screw together and eliminating the benefit of having 30" or so of play to drive the posts. What I didn't check of anticipate, was the fact that my original shorter unit weighs 14 pounds while this only weighs 11 pounds thereby further reducing the "Impact" capabilities and with the cap welded in the mid-point of this drive, it now causes me to have to hold my hand higher above my head with the same amount of stroke for momentum. I suppose the fact that it's lighter could be seen as a benefit having to hold it higher, but totally defeats the purpose of a post driver. I originally was going to suggest you skip this longer version in favor of the short one, but that weighs even less. In all fairness, I live in New England where the soil is rocky and difficult. Perhaps this would work wonderfully in sandy soil without clay and rocks? For me unfortunately, it's a hard no.

Wish I could leave a 0 star review. Not much to say more than it broke within 6 swings (can see the indents) of setting a T post into soft ground. Cheaply made. It has 4 tack welds for the cap that takes all the impact and it opened up like a tin can. Don’t waste your time or money. This thing couldn’t drive a diaper into mud.

Great tool to have around. Someone always seems to need one and no one has one...reasonably priced, and handy to have on hand when needed. Doesn't take up much space. Built well. Sturdy and strong and made with quality materials and craftsmanship. Easy to use and works well to get the job done. Shipped and delivered quickly. I recommend.
