Nice springs and claw, however with this type of claw you will need some flux to stick the ground wire down so you can solder it. If you don’t chances are you won’t get the solder to stick to the claw. Personally besides the springs I would get a different claw that’s easier to solder to. But if you’re the purist type dude that wants a vintage accurate claw go ahead. Springs are great though, little stiff but good if you are hard tailing your guitar anyways

Yeah I know its in the back and nobody sees it. But it does matter. This one is going into a new replica. A 1978 black and white VH1 Eruption Tribute guitar. Not even going to be reliced. Just going to let it age with use. Some of the cheap imports are tooo cheap. Look bad and don't do the intended job as well. Would have been wrong to save a couple of bucks on this. Needs to look right and work right. No Tremolo cover. Real parts look like real parts.

Put them in my 99 Mex Strat. I had fidgeted with the old Springs so much they lost tension and my trem was floating. Not something I wanted. My Strat originally came with three Springs so I put in 4. I got to tell you what a difference in sound. I was going to spend $200 to have a bone nut put in to increase sustain but after installing these and then learning that I should oil the nut. I feel like I don't have to do anything else. My Mex Strat was a special edition and came with Mex Tex pickups. So I'm set! Very happy with my purchase. For just a few dollars you can really upgrade a moderate to economy priced guitar to make sound so much better. Don't forget to loosen your strings and with the tip of an old high E string drop a drop of oil in your nut slots. I used bar and chain oil cause its thick and wont dissipate as fast.

I set up two floating trems - one Fender and one G&L with these. I had previously used the Raw Vintage springs, but they're very weak springs and had to use all five springs to block my trem. Once I decided to float my trems, the Raw Vintage didn't work for me... Enter Pure Vintage springs! 3 Pure Vintage springs work well to float my trems... Replacing the middle spring with one of the Raw Vintage worked BETTER!!! Was able to adjust height of trem and balance string tension pretty much perfect. If you want to float your trem, there's videos online, but basically you need to do an initial setup of your trem and at the same time make sure your strings are tuned as perfectly as you can. Then, use a block/wedge to keep your trem block in the same place... loosen your trem claw and do all of your saddle heights, intonation etc... Once all is set up to your liking... remove the block/wedge, and WITHOUT TOUCHING YOUR TUNERS, adjust your trem claw to bring up your strings back to the pitch you set before you blocked it. If you did it in that order, your string tension should match your trem spring tension and your tuning should be 95% stable. Again there's video tutorials online that will add a couple points, but that's the gist of it. All in all, VERY happy with my setup and tone. (If you loosen your neck bolts slightly before you remove the block/wedge, the neck will sit down in the pocket a little better and then tighten the bolts back up. One turn or so on each bolt is most likely enough to loosen and you might hear a click as the neck falls into place. Tighten the neck bolts back up and finish process - You might be surprised to find your guitar has added resonance now!)

Replaced what was in the strat when I bought it used, a cheaper Chinese edition. Put the springs, new Seymour Duncan Humbucker/single coil pick ups, new 5 channel switch, and new push pull volume switch. Works like a $1200 Strat now.
