Good quality product from Fender! Locally it’s difficult to get as Swee Lee no longer carries and Fender parts. Luckily Amazon still offers this. It would be great if Amazon SG can offer equivalent products as found in Amazon USA. Amazon SG prob offers only around 20% of what Amazon USA can offer. Amazon SG will need to level up on the products they can offer.

Perfect fit for my 57 Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster. This should fit any 8-hole Strat just as perfect as the original pickguard, if not better.

The pickguard was warped like it had been sitting in a hot environment for a long time, the plastic seems to have melted onto the surface so once it was removed the entire pickguard was covered in sticky residue. I'm ordering a replacement from another site

I've tried the third party anodized pickguards from third party suppliers, and found that most of the plastic ones are great. The anodized ones are different. The cheaper ones seem fine until you actually get them in your hands. Most just looked cheap-- obvious cheaply stamped copies. The colors are off and don't look like it would last long. The Fender brand ones however look great, are well made and don't come off like obvious cheap substitutes.Save where you can, butIf you want to go anodized, go Fender...

Finger weg.

A perfect fit. But we have to plan to install a shield as it should. I was expecting it already installed. So I had to order a shield separately. I still consider that pickguard as a good purchase.

I have a MiM 2001 Classic Series '50s Strat in Surf Green. It came with the standard 11-screw 3-ply WBW pickguard. I really did not want to drill any holes, and, as it turns out, I didn't have to! Every one of the eight screw holes aligned perfectly with the corresponding holes in the body. In fact, someone must have routed this one out a bit too much, because the screw next to the 5-way switch was put in at an angle so that it would catch some wood. This pickguard totally hides that. The only thing you need to remember is to get a shielding plate. (That fit perfectly, as well.)The pickguard swap went perfectly. I'm getting another as a spare.

For some reason, this item ranges wildly in price from vendor to vendor, and even from day to day. Not sure why... I bought it for a reasonable price (less than $50) and it fits my Fender Custom Shop '56 strat perfectly. No sheilding or noise issues.

This pickguard is exactly as expected. This went on a 95 MIA Stratocaster which normally uses an 11 hole design. HOWEVER, You will want to be aware that all holes will line up EXCEPT one, the one nearest the 5-way switch.I bought this model as opposed to the 11 hole design because it is very difficult to find 11-hole 1-ply pickguards. This pickguard will NOT lay totally flat EVEN IF YOU DRILL THE MISSING HOLE. I knew this before I started, so that was okay for me.If you do not drill out the missing hole, the section of the pickguard will be left raised way too far for most people's comfort. So it is highly advised that you do. If you have a 50's model Strat, this guard should work as flawlessly as the PG that your own came with. The only OTHER option is to drill another hole in the body of your guitar, a step that I was not willing to take. I am also willing to bet that if you DO drill a hole in the body, there will STILL be some raised section.

The pick guard has 8 holes (instead of 11 found in 3-ply ones) and in different positions. Works perfectly withCTS pots and fender switch. The volume knob hole is positioned a bit farther from the pickup screw hole, sothe knob skirt won't scratch against the screw head (it happens in some modern pickguards. Some peoplebuy flatter screws or keep the knob high in the shaft, both solutions inelegant). This alone made me happy. The plastic is a little softer than expected. Buy genuine, it pays up by being compatible, easy to install andgood looking. Even the control shield plate fitted perfectly.
