Here's a revised version of your text:---The one-star rating is due to the lack of clarity in explaining that this product is cream (beige), not white. It appears white when it comes out of the tube, but once mixed and applied to a white surface, it will show as cream.I used it for small chips, so I didn’t need to mix much, and it worked great. Be sure to read the instructions carefully: clean the surface well and grind out the gelcoat as necessary (there are plenty of YouTube videos on gelcoat repair). The mixture is thick and goes on smoothly. If you tape off the surrounding area with painter’s tape, the smoothing cards will level the gelcoat to the tape’s thickness, which results in a nearly perfect thickness above the surface. Afterward, you can sand, buff, and you're done (durability will show over time).A few important notes:- You have about 10 minutes of working time, which is plenty if you’re well-prepped. Allow 24+ hours for the gelcoat to dry fully.- This product is intended for nicks and chips, not large repairs. If you need to patch a bigger area, you'll need more product and possibly a different approach.- Keep the repair area as small as possible.- Sand slowly and use high-grit sandpaper. If you’ve never done gelcoat repair before, be mindful that heat from aggressive sanding can cause problems. It’s better to sand lightly and take your time. I used 1000-grit to finish it off. The kit includes 800-grit for after the gelcoat hardens, and the lower grits are meant for surface prep.

I had a couple big dings in my hull and bought this to repair it. It cures to sandable in a couple hours. A lot goes a long way. Use as little as possible or you could be sanding a lot more than necessary. It’s easy to mix and apply. Comes with everything you need. Only complaint is that it is slightly off white so you can see where the repair is unless you paint it. Mine was small enough to leave it as it was
