INSTALLATION

• Unscrew the clamp bolts on the buttom of the saddle.

• Lift and turn the top clamp to remove the old seatpost.

• Clean the dirt and residue off the saddle rails.

• Set the saddle rails in the buttom clamp's channels.

• Reposition the top clamp so it fits over the rails.

• Tighten 2 bolts evenly to adjust the saddle position/angle.

• Tighten 2 bolts to recommended torque spec(5mm hex).

• NOTE: There is a safety scale on the seat tube, please insert it at least above the minimum safety line when installing it.

I am a large person and I found that the standard seat post mount that uses the compression of "ribbed washers", for a lack of a better term, and a single bolt aren't secure enough to keep the saddle from moving as my weight moves forward/backward. The saddle eventually loosens and becomes unsafe. This post uses two screws that you adjust to get the seat at your preferred angle so the seat is securely held in place. Highly recommend for all riders especially heavy people.

Hello community. Unfortunately I didn't take a picture of the setup right out of the packaging, before the pieces all came apart. Where and how does the part in my hand in 2nd picture go? (I know it doesn't go on top of the seat!) On top of the rails and on top of the top clamp? Was that piece designed to cover all the thread sticking up from the bolts?Please help. I'm getting ready to sell this Trek Dual Sport. But not without a properly installed saddle.Much obliged.
