Your cart is empty.The 1 lb roll of stainless steel wool is approximately 1/2" thick and 4" wide and is wound onto a 2" core to an outside diameter of about 6" and is approximately 30 -35' long. It is enough material to wrap a 2"diameter baffle x 19" long to an outside diameter of approximately 5" when properly wrapped to the right tension. Stainless steel wool products withstand temperatures in excess of 700°C, exhaust acids and high vibration.

As other people have done, I used this to fill gaps that mice were using to gain entry to places where they're not welcome... in my case, underneath exterior base trim that, while properly installed to allow water/moisture to drain out from behind clapboards, still had provided mice with an ideal place to hide and next. Putting this wool between the cement pad beneath the trim and the trim itself, any moisture still can escape, but the mice can't get in, and the wool doesn't rust. Since it's sharp, I suppose they don't pull at the wool, or try to use it to build other nests.Pretty easy to install, wear gloves!

We loved that it was such a fine steel wool and could be cut to fit into small crevices. We had problems with field mice getting into our house. We took a flashlight and sealed up all the corners in the bathroom, closet, under the sink in the kitchen, etc. they are gone!
