Very easy to install. I love getting in my house without having to use a key. Recognizes my fingerprint instantly. I have had no issues with the product or the app. Looks good also.

This is a great idea, but it just doesn’t work for my needs. I think they are on point with the design and style of the door lock. The handles are large, easy to grab, and well-made. They have rounded edges for a modern and sleek style. If this were just a basic door lock, I would definitely be using it because it just looks that good. However, all of the electronics seem to get in the way for me. The instructions are a little confusing. I had difficulty telling if I got codes set correctly or if the fingerprint scanner was working. Still, that wouldn’t have been a deal breaker for me because it looks terrific. But the lock is always on, meaning the handle is meant to always be locked by default. You can set it to a pass-through mode so it does not lock at all, which has to be turned off to be locked again. There is no way to lock or unlock the handle from the inside either. For instance, if it is a Saturday and I am at home all day going in and out of my house. I can let the door lock whenever I go out for a minute and use the keypad or fingerprint scanner to get back in. I can set it on pass-through, which I’ll have to remember to turn off at night, and can only be selected from the outside handle. Or I guess I could just leave the door open while coming and going. None of those seemed like a great option. From what I can tell, the purpose of this door handle is to be locked at all times. Even the physical key will only unlock it and then have to be set back into locked mode to remove it. That “always locked” premises doesn’t work for me or my family. If that is what you want, I would try this lock.

This kit comes with everything you need to install it except a phillips head screwdriver and 4 x AAA batteries. They even include a pair of gloves to keep both the door handle and your hands clean while installing it.Overall, I really like this door handle with keyless entry. I don't know if I'd use it for an exterior door, but I have a small foyer to enter my home. I'll use this on the inner door which is the only door I lock anyway. I live in a cold climate and locking mechanisms on the outer door are susceptible to freezing. Anyone can enter my foyer, but to get in the house they need to get past the lock. But I think for most people this is best suited for an interior door, like an office door or such. The instructions aren't the greatest, but with a little reading and rereading and about 30 minutes of playing around with the lock I was able to figure out how to program it and use it. It's pretty easy to install and there's some room for adjustment to allow for different spacing on your door handle and latch. The normal state of the door handle is that turning the outer handle does nothing unless you either provide a fingerprint, a passcode or a key. Then it will engage the handle with the latch and you're able to turn the handle to open the door. They do have a "pass through" mode you can set whenever you need to so that it doesn't require anything to open the door. Then just cancel this mode when you want it to default back to being "locked" again. The passcode can be 4-12 digits long. You can set up to 15 passcodes. The fingerprint reader works pretty well. You can set up to 20 prints. You train it by providing 6 different angles of each fingerprint when programming it. I was pretty impressed with how well it reads my print, I have a very fine fingerprint that quite often fails to be readable with biometric systems. But perhaps the technology has improved lately. One thing I'm not fond of is how you change the battery. You have to unscrew 2 screws on the inner door handle, carefully remove a cap with the screws (so that you don't drop them and lose them), then unplug a VERY tiny little connector and get something to hook the battery holder with and pull it out. I'm worried that repeated disconnecting and reconnecting this tiny connector may eventually damage it.Furthermore, the wire that connects the batteries to the lock goes through the center of the battery holder, and it's a pain to feed it back through again when you return the holder to the slot. You may need tweezers or a pair of needle-nose pliers. I hope the batteries don't have to be replaced often. Of course, you always have the option of using a key, which works fine as well. The door handle is very sturdy, operation is smooth and the look is very sleek. While it takes some effort to learn how to program it, it's ultimately very easy to program, use and install. It gives you tremendous versatility for providing people access to whatever room or structure you use it for. Best of all, it's a very affordable price for both the qualities and features. I'm very pleased with it.
